What would you say is the best JGTC car on the game?

'Best' will vary with each person but I am ideally looking for something very quick but with nice smooth handling at the same time.

Do a search for Stormbringer's thread on his/her testing. One of the last batch tested was the SuperGT stuff.

Being that they're all built to spec, they're going to be reasonably similar, but I prefer the NSXs. I think the Z has more torque than the other cars, which may give it an advantage is some situations.

Fairlady Z Concept LM Race Car surprises a lot of GTR's ;) I use it a lot online. Infact its probably the car i've used most online & it beats anything in its class.

I know. Does it really matter?

The OP asked: "What would you say is the best JGTC car on the game?"
and the title is "Best JGTC car?"

I would say yes, it matters.

the OP asked for your favorite kind of apple and you responded "watermelon".

I've only used the Castrol Mugen NSX, which I won from a ticket. Stage 3 + turbo + Racing Soft was an easy win on that seasonal and Expert/Super GT

Yes, quite a belligerent fail by this clown.

Thanks for that. Have done a search and that is very useful 👍

I have found the xanavi z to be an easy win even with no mods and hard tires second would be the nsx's then gt-r and lastly the lexus' but that's just how I feel.

I used the Tom's Petronas Lexus SC430. Handles like a dream and is very quick. I was alittle surprised when I actually smoked the competition in the Super GT series considering all the JGTC cars are so close in specs. I did do an oil change because the Nissans and Hondas come in with a slight advantage as far as horsepower but other than that I used the car completely stock.

I find the YellowHat YMS Supra to be a very balanced car in general. Beat the A-Spec Super GT championship on Hards and no upgrades to the car. I've done a few online Super GT races and always been near the front - Xanavi GT-R seems to be the car that will get the better of me online.

Actually had a race on the Nordschleife against some more powerful race cars online the other night and grip kept me on the road whilst the guys in the more powerful cars had trouble staying on the track. Just my two cents.

I would say the Lamborghini NOMAD Diablo is the pick of JGTC cars, and it can be modded to 800+ hp is necessary

Good topic. I bought a yellowhat supra because I LOVE the shape of the JGTC supra (not a huge fan of the JGTC skyline shape). But given its a little older than the skyline, I was a little concerned it wasnt as sharp a tool as the skyline.

At some stage, I might borrow a mates skyline and 350Z and do some testing. This is ofcourse leaving the JGTC cars as standard. I NEVER modify racing cars, as I prefer to race them the way they were intended to be raced.

I used the '08 Calsonic GTR to beat the Super GT Championship and it was pretty easy, won most of the races by over 30 seconds without modding it.

Personally, I'd pick the Castrol Tom's Toyota Supra '97 as far as GT500 goes, and the Cusco Dunlop Subaru Impreza '08 for GT300.

If you want a challenge, go for a GT300 car. I can win Suzuka in a totally stock Wedsport Celica, wet or dry (Not bragging). For the other 2 races you probably have to upgrafde the car, i used a C-west Razo silvia GT300 with stage 2 engine and race softs and barely won Fuji and R246. If you aren't too confident on the tracks however, I'd go for a Raybrig NSX. That thing is always in the front of the pack, at least 5 seconds ahead of everyone else when I race. It beat me on Fuji by 0.156. :banghead:

Agreed. In every JGTC race I've done in A-Spec and B-Spec, the NSXs always seem to rise through the pack of AI drivers, with the Raybrig NSX almost always leading the way.

So are NSX's the pick of the bunch when it comes to fastest JGTC cars then?

Anyone care to comment on the NSX tyre wear? In GT4, I can remember the NSX's were shocking with rear tyre wear.

PS I find the Castrol Supra of '97 a lot less sharper than the newer JGTC cars. Mainly in the initial turn in and front end grip through corners.

It needs a little more camber on the front and a bit if tinkering woth the suspension in general. Once done, I found it to be just as sharp, but mroe composed, if that makes any sense.

Seconded, the Supra's incredibly composed with some more camber, a really lovely drive.

It also runs more front downforce than many other JGTC cars at 50, as does the Nomad Diabolo.

Anyone know of other 50/70 downforce JGTC's? I can't face buying 'em all!
The LM concept GT-R and Z are both high downforce, but not JGTC.

The testing done was rather pointless. There is a reason why they are called GT500 cars, not GT700.
