Mines an odd one, to be fair.

First couple of laps, the smooth and gentle sound of Clocks by Coldplay. Song ends, 2 seconds of silence only to be shredded by Thumper by Enter Shikari blaring out my speakers. Song ends, Pogo by Digitalism... Oh I love my taste in music.

So, whats your driving music?

2 albums by Death, "Individual Thought Patterns" & "The Sound of Perseverance"

Fear Factory's "Obsolete" album

Deicide's "Once Upon the Cross" album

Select tunes from Mudvayne

Megadeth's "Rust in Peace" album

I like fast music to drive fast by. ;)

No sound but the engine actually.

If I hear music I get carried away and sing along, and forget to concentrate on my racing lines. If I'm just cruising or having a boring endurance, I just randomly play music from youtube.

The same happens when online and those suckers who never shut up make me lose concentration.

Nothing like blitzing the Nurb to Bon Jovi, Bad medicine & livin on prayer. this is the only Album I have on my ps3 at the moment, as I have not tried PS3 media server whilst playing Gt5.

👍

I tend to asscociate certain songs with certain tracks. For example if im on Cape Ring i need to hear Panama by Van Halen or if im driving the 'ring i need to hear Cafo by Animals as Leaders

I eventually turned off music during races. I left the Mister Rogers, vuvuzelas, Hello Muddah Hello Fadduh, and all the other menu bullcrap turned on, but I got tired of being distracted by the music during races. So, right now the best music for driving in GT5 for me is the engine music.

Many, but some of my favourites are:

Fecking Hostile by Pantera

Nowhere by Therapy?

Insane in the Brain by Cypress Hill

and as a nod to a previous GT

My Favourite Game by The Cardigans

I thought you can turn off that, no? Didn't played online that much, because i don't like it, but in some other games there always was an option to turn off other people's talking, which i always used asap of course.

As for the music. Mostly it's a heavy metal/hard rock.

Parkway Drive through Datsik through Pearl Jam through more metal and more dubtep and more classic rock...

Yeh its generally all over the show.

Willie Nelson "On the road again"

John Denvor "Chained to the wheel"

The Beatles "Drive my car"

Tom Cochrane "Life is a highway"

prince "Little Red Corvette"

Ha, I don't actually listen to music while driving, just though I would share those few 👍

If you're trying to get the most out of a car you really need to be listening to the engine rather than music

didn't know of that type of music before you mentioned it.... found some wicked tunes on youtube 👍

That might just blow your mind... crank the bass, then some more and a bit more. Then sit back :3

Youre a bit late though, dubstep scene is enormous now with loads of sub genres and styles.

Ive got over 24 hours worth I think, from the insanely dirty to drumstep.

But yeh sorry for the OT.

Voodoo Child - Hendrix
Linkin Parks' hybrid theory album will pulsate your adrenaline gland
Van Halen always works
Hammer of the Gods (zeppelin for you kiddies)
Old school Metallica
Audioslave
Quiet Riot Bamg your head
Epic by faith no more

I only drive and listen to some tunes when I'm grinding for exp....:yuck:
But here are my fav albums to listen to:

Makaveli: The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory.
Tupac Shakur: Me Againist The World.
Tupac Shakur: All Eyez On Me.

Easy listening and I can't stand to grind for hours on end.....

Spiderbait......................................................Black Betty
Nalin and Kane..............................................Cruising 2006
Deadmau5.....................................................Hi Friend (vocal mix)
Far East Movement vs Swedish House Mafia....Like One G6
Prodigy.........................................................First Warning

BEST. SONG. EVER. If anyone says otherwise then they're massive idiots. You simply cannot match this guy's amazing singing and deep, meaninigful, flawless lyrics. Everybody can relate to this song hence why it's awesome.

Have both (ES, and Coldplay) have you seen Shikari live? They kill it.

For me, I normally drive to either Kanye West, Dance Gavin Dance, Eminem, A Day To Remember, and New Found Glory.

I'm still working on a good mix but I started with some of the older Gran Turismo music, most of the Need for Speed music (before Underground), some Pitchshifter, Atreyu, Linkin Park, and Chemical Brothers.

Too many to name. Thumbs up to those who said Animals as Leaders and Death. I also play some Pantera and nice trance metal **** like Meshuggah's Catch 33 album.

Mostly experimental, progressive and heavy metal.

Almost everything from MetallicA, including Fuel. A bunch of old songs from other Gran Turismos, Joe Satriani, a a few Chemical Brothers songs, Cochise and Show me how to live by Audioslave, Low Rider, Flower by Moby, some of King Crimson, a few Recoil songs, Puscifer songs, A Perfect Circle songs, and a bunch more of this type of music, Gundam 00 and Gundam Wing songs. Also, I like to listen to Relentless Beating from Cannibal Corpse when doing the Swimelthingy Top Gear challenge. This is what I listen to. On replays only, not while racing.

Oh, and Foxy Lady by Jimmy Hendrix. Someone remember the menu music from the US version of GT1?
