I want to race in the polyphony digital cup and I was just wonderin the definition of a normal car. Also, I'd like to know what some of the best normal cars are.

I tried the gt1 road car but it wasn't accepted. it's the ts020 if that makes any difference. if I replace all the gears using full racing transmission will it not be accepted?

Normal cars are road cars with absolutely nothing added to them to boost speed, add gears, etc. (with the exception of tires).

The IDEAL normal car is the Toyota GT-One Road Car, or if you want a good substitute, there always the GT1-R390 Road Car.

you cannot add any parts to it except tires.. you can remove any parts that you added, but if you did the weight reduction, then you'll have to use a different car because you can't undo it

ZZII already has racing parts
the fiat sucks, the only good part about that car are the rims, if only i could switch those rims on the DIABLO...
but yea id take a silvia s14 over the fiat, or even a ITR

it has tracing parts but is a road car....
hmm....
does that mean the chaser cant be used in the pd cup?

B4 i saw this thread i thought the fastest normal/best norm car was a Zconcept or a Vanguish, but i neva knew u could use a GT1 Road car, cos other places suggest u use the RX8, Z Concept or Vanguish

I hear a lot of people talking about the TS020, and I agree - it's one of the fastest road-going normal cars in the game, in fact, I think it is the fastest.

Just watch out for understeer when breaking late. :banghead:

The two top cars that can enter the PD Cup are the R390 road car and the Toyota Gt1 Road car.

in order to be eligible for this race series, you must enter in a stock car. The only upgrades being tires and oil.

These two should slaughter the competition.

If you're looking for a challenge, pick out something in the low 300 hp range. If you're a better driver, pick something in the low-mid 200hp range.

Good luck,

AO

Yeah, I had a go with the NSX, I got slaughtered. :O

So now I'm doing the PD Cup with the GT-One. :sly:

Take everything exept the CTR2. It's start fine but when the tyres are getting worse its just so annoying that the car only has understeer understeer understeer!! You just can't take a proper corner.

Have you tried... pitting? CTR2 is the fastest stock 4WD eligible for the PD Cup there is...

The TS020 GT-One Road Car IS the fastest stock road car in the game - at least around a track.

Second fastest is a fight between three cars - the XJ220 Road, the R390 GT1 Road and the TVR Speed 12. On longer (and straighter) tracks, the Speed 12 crushes these things (and on Tokyo is BRUTAL down the straight - you can pass TS020s like they're going backwards). The R390 has a decent mix of attributes, but on some PD Cup races is beaten by the Jag (Trial Mountain, for a start).

I've had a load of fun with the Ruf RGT.

There are a lot of good cars to do it... pretty much anything with about 300hp will be succesful if you have T2 tires (super-slicks)

I have no idea why, but I just CAN'T STEER with the CTR2...It's horrible. :yuck:

I'll say this for the Ruf RGT. It's the best damn RR in the entire game. :D
