Not sure because I only use automatic transmission (I'm not the best driver anyways without trying to shift as well, just call me Harvey Wallbanger :sly:) but might also help to create a specific bhp/torque curve to maximize shifting as opposed to just creating raw maximums that might not fall within usable ranges.
 
Plus what if a series had restrictions against the Racing Filter? Such as street car series.
 
Racing AIR FILTER for 450cr is the best if you can install it. An oil change can often improve HP (maybe not). If the engine is new, just racing it can up the HP for FREE, then change the oil. Sports catalytic converter is next 500cr. ECU is next @ 1000cr. Engine tune 1 is 2500cr, sports intake manifold 2500cr, sports exhaust 3500cr etc. but don't forget to lighten the car. This will improve the power to weight ratio. Stage 1 5000cr. and decent tires will help the handling.
 
Racing air filter hands down. HP gain may be small, but hey, it's too cheap for a performance part anyways.

Does washing the car do anything or does it just make the car cleaner? Infact, does it even make the car cleaner?

Washing a car won't improve the performance and it will look like new in the next race, just like that bent fender.
 
An engine re-build and a chassis restore are the most expensive things you can EVER do to improve performance...period.

Auto trans is OK. Buy some decent tires.. Racing soft will help a lot!!
