I can't believe no-one mentioned the Chaparral 2D Race Car '67. I also like the Ford Mark IV Race Car '67.

You should definitely try to accelerate from zero and build up its speed very very slowly, I love that sound of the engine.
 
I think the whine from the 6 speed fully adjustable transmission ruins the sound from most cars.

I really like the sound of the BMW Z4 with semi racing exhaust and the Lotus Elise with racing exhaust.
 
The clatter of the Stratos Rally Car is amazingly cool!
The 787B at idle is just Insane too.
I have a fully tuned alto that has a very meaty noise that always surprises people online.
 
All classic muscle sounds nice, but I have to give it to the '71 Cuda fully modded. I'm a chevy guy, but the majority of the classic chevys just don't have the throaty note that the cuda hits.

On a side note, I wish PD would've spent more time focusing on the differences between exhaust & engine mods closer to the actual sounds of a real car. I can understand how this would be hard with over 1k cars, though.

The Dodge Ram fully tuned. No... wait... thats the worst sounding car because of the horrible confusion at PD to what a tuned pickup truck should sound like... which is apparently the same as a Honda Civic

Lol you hit that on the head. I never knew a Hemi could sound like a rice burner. Seriously, this is pathetic PD. Have you never been to America? Just travel to Texas and just drive around for 10 minutes in any city. You'll hear what trucks are SUPPOSED to sound like.

Personally I think there are two very differing types of car sounds in this game, and as such am suggesting two.

You're completely right. For that low rumble, I'd stick with the GT40 or ACR. But for the "soprano" sounding formula type cars, I'd say the Zonda R. Damn that's a great sounding car!
 
I'm really loving the ISF Racing Concept now for some reason. And just about all the Ford GT variants sound pretty damn good.

Most everything else is still crap though, except for a few other notables.
 
Not sure if I can pick a best but the Lexus LFA,Honda NSX-R,Lamborghini Murcielago and Corvette Z06 are up there.👍
 
TVR Speed 12 by a long shot! This thing sound scary to say the least.

Hi all,

This is a question i really want to know becuase a really good car that sounds bad makes the overall car bad - i feel - and i want to know what are some of the nicest sounding cars are in the game. In my opinion, i think that the Mercedes SLS AMG is the best sounding, but then again, i haven't driven all of the cars in the game.

Any ideas ?

You might think I'm joking but my favourite noise on the game is my supercharged Clio sport fully tuned, it screams. Anybody else heard it?
