I believe you need to reread my post and look up the word majority. Lat time I checked it does not mean all, so when I say the majority of regular old players punt everything in site it does not mean all.
So you're happy to judge other players because they don't have a GTP tag, but then say that we shouldn't be so judgemental? You also say that the GTP tag sets us apart from the rest because you're held to a higher standard of racing... is that not saying that you consider yourself morally better than anyone else? Because that's the real issue, the growing attitude that some members of this forum are taking towards the rest of the Gran Turismo online community (please note the word "some").
Honestly, it makes me sad for you that you take others opinions so whole heartedly. Your interpretation on my reply is completely wrong, and I dont see where you are deriving those conclusions from. Having high standards does not make you better, being different and setting yourself apart does not make you better. The whole point of the GTP tag is to be able to identify the person as someone who is part of the GT planet community, if you dont feel like you are part of it, then dont wear the tag, it is as simple as that.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and I am sorry to burst your bubble but most people size you up based on your first impression, and you only get one of those. When I see a name online that is all I can go by until I have actually raced against that person. Yes, if that person has a GTP tag I will assume they are a clean driver, but if they dont have a tag I cant assume they are a clean driver and that is what the tag if for.
Now if I were to see you online, (since you dont wear a tag) I would race a little on the defensive side as to not get knocked of the track because I dont know who you are, where you come from, your racing mentality. Only until you prove that you are a clean driver will I feel completely comfortable racing alongside of you. That is the reality of online racing in GT5P. I highly doubt you would leave yourself vulnerable on the outside of the track on turn one of suzuka unless you know the other driver will not use you as a wall to get around the corner faster.
As for the part about morals, you cant know a persons morality until you know them very well and a GTP tag does not even come close to telling me that that person is morally better than the rest. But if you think otherwise, that is your opinion and you are entitled to it.
