-Becoming 16, wich will probably be the same for the age of 17.
-When summer comes along it's a disappointment, cause I was looking forward to it so much, after being disappointed by winter etc etc.

For me, having my "special" lottery not numbers come up every time I play, except for the time I dont, 5 of the 7 come up, some people have killed them self over such things. I think ill keep playin my numbers:scared: :)

I wouldn't trust somone else shaving my face, and I wouldn't want anywhere else being shaved.

Shaving is a disappointment. It's just a big pain in the ass.

Other disappointments:
the PS3's price
my grades (highest is a B... lowest is a D... this is WAY below what I'm capable of)
my social life (I wanted to be the cool kid in high school... what happened?)

But hey, life in general isn't so bad... so things are looking up if I get this stuff taken care of.

 I remember the days like that. These days, I'm just referred to as the guy with a lot of money. Back then, I was just someone who talked to everyone, thought, "Hey, I'm cool, I chat with everyone."
Til' a freaking senior put me in my place, and crushed my dignity after trying to be cool with him.

That was a disappointment....

To add another: being 16 and without a g/f. I thought for sure I'd be makin it with the ladies right now... but that hasn't quite worked out.

EDIT: What a depressing thread!

Thats the biggie right there. You are still young and you have your whole life ahead of you. Don't worry if nothign happens now. It will soon. :)

Bah. Like, 1 in 27,000,000 people actually live a life with a highschool sweetheart. Don't stress it. You may think you're alone in this right now, but when you get older you'll realize that half the people you saw as happy couples in highschool are with different people. I don't want to sound like my dad when I say this, but I suppose there's no real avoiding it - and I'm sure some of the other older members in this thread will agree:

Most teenagers just have no idea what love is, are incapable of providing their end of a serious, solid loving relationship, and are too powered by the drive to have sex as soon as possible to really call what they have love.

Life is short, but not so short that you have to rush things like love. Love is not something you can rush, anyway. If you do, then it isn't love. It's something you felt obligated to do to justify your livelihood, and it will be meaningless otherwise.

Besides, take it proudly that while all your 16 and 17 year old friends are having kids and screwing their futures, you, the single one, are free of that responsibility and can finish your school career without that kind of worry on your shoulders.

Ten
Bah. *extremely well thought out and reassurring post*
*clicks the red tick*

I do know that High School relationships hardly ever work. I'd still like to have one though... :indiff: But yea, I definately see your point Ten.

Oh, by no means let me disourage you. Highschool relationships are great ways to learn. Making mistakes with a loved one is better off done before you get REALLY serious later on in life, but I wouldn't put too much emphasis on it being an important part of growing up. People who belong together will click, regardless of level of experience.

If you want a relationship, by all means, try for one. I'm more or less just saying that if you don't end up in one, or if you fall flat on your face, don't let it get you down too much. 👍

Looks like the second thread I've hijacked today...

This sounds like an opinion forum thread. Time to search and see if one has already been made.

And no worries, I'm not discouraged at all.

Haha, it happens.

To shift things back on topic, another one of the biggest let downs in my life had to be my first car. I was so psyched that my first was a classic Skylark with an Old's Rocket V8 under the hood. Too bad that parts for a 1964 Buick Skylark were few and far between, and when they were available, they cost an arm and a leg due to their rarity. I had to junk it when we moved, because no one would buy it, and I just couldn't afford to bring it with us. :indiff:

Shaving seems to be a consistent one mentioned in here
Shaving is an ice cream sundae compared to the ritual that begins for girls when they hit puberty

Disappointment: not being able to try my best in school. I only got straight-As once only in my life and all the other times I have been stuck with one, two or three B's. I always have A in my report card, but its always a close call. I missed straight-As 5 times because I didn't have the required 2-5% to get 86%, which is A. But considering that I'm still sort of FOTB - fresh off the boat immigrant learning English I think I'm doing sort of OK for my level. Still hurts to see that all I needed was 2 extra percents to make it into the honor roll. :guilty:

Not to worry... it'll happen. Like it happened to me, I was quite depressed at being the only 16 year old in my group not to have had a gf, and then this 21 year old decided she liked me... and to make matters short, she taught me a lot ;)

I know this is a let-downs thread, but I'll add this situation as a regret.

I regret having this lame job. Minimum wage, and I'm working Saturday, which I just found out will replace my participation at a Ferrar FXX track session. Also worth mentioning: it would've been free admission for me and my driver, who would be taking me in his '89 Testa. Also invited are a pile of former F1 racecars, which are touring with the FXXs I'm presuming, and the Challenge series, which is always pleasant to see, and they're also running some driver training sessions with F430s. Beautiful location, world-class track, fun friend to take me there, get me in the pits, and take me home. I'm not the biggest Ferrari fan at all, but that would've still been fun to see...

But nope! I'm making 7.75$ an hour moving plants and crashing a forklift into rows of junipers. This job has barely gotten me pocket money, and it's a serious pain in the ass on a daily basis. Tomorrow I try to get someone to take my shift, but it doesn't look good at all.

Oh yes, I also miss another big track event in a couple weeks, where I would've been a wrench monkey for another friend and his car, who is competing in the event. Stupid!!!

My biggest recent let down was loosing the Maths World Cup against my best friend.

I was Sweden he was England and you had to roll a dice 8 times, if you got a 6 it means the opponent has to roll a 1 to stop you scoring.

I scored 3 goals, thinking that was enough to win, but on Chris's last 2 rolls, he got 2 sixes, putting the game into penalties.

I rolled a 6 he rolled a 1, noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. :(
He rolled a 6, I rolled a 1 yayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy :)
I rolled a 4.
Chris rolled another 6.
I rolled a 2.

Defeated, by my best friend.

Sweden 3 - 3 England
England 1 - 0 on penatlies

Another let down was when Tunisia scored in extra time against Saudi Arabia.
I don't really support them but I want them to go through

Simple; life it self (because I mainly **** up things myself without the help of others).

One of lifes biggest dissapointments is having a player as useless as Peter Crouch in my national football team.
