Turbosmoke:
According to the in game data, the wheelbase of the Zonda C12s is 2730mm, and the wheelbase of the Polyphony001 is 2896mm. With chassis swaps you can allow a tolerance of 50mm for the wheels to line up in the arches and still look OK, but the difference in wheelbase between the two cars in this case is three times that, therefore the wheels will look wrong.

I agree that the Zonda is a great looking car, but when the wheels are obviously in the wrong place it would detract from this.

Ultrabeat: I wish you well in your modifications to Daisy. Does she corner well yet? ;)

OMG I cant believe that many people picked the Pagani Zonda C12S as the biggest let down! That car is awesome! The only cars on that list that could even halfway hang with the C12S are the Corvette Grand Sport, the Esprit 350, and the RUF 3400S. The C12S is classified as one of the most amazing cars in the game in my opinion.

It's frustrating that the only thing that's wrong with it is that the brakes are far too weak as most other handling issues can be fixed with a bit of tweaking.

I have a hybrid Zonda race car, F1 chassis under it, and if wasnt for the F1 tyres as well, you wouldnt be able to spot the difference

I was actually disappointed in the stock Lancer's handling.
It is an understeering beast in stock form. It is the one 4WD that performs up to snuff, once you put the VCD on.
I actually like both Street Vettes, They do require a different touch to go quickly. The C5R is the beggest letdown among the Vettes. It takes quite a bit of tweeking to get it to behave under "heavy handed" and heavy footed driving.
Lastly, whose idea was it to make the Cobra handle like it had superslicks in front and T8's in the rear? This is a beast that does not go anywhere it's pointed without some major tuning.

If the handling of the Zonda in the game is anything like it is in real life, I imagine that this conversation took place at Pagani:

"So, brakes then. What do you think for the pads? Ferodo? Brembo?"

"Nah! Let's make our own!"

"OK then, what are brake pads made of?"

"Erm... bars of soap? Would that work?"

<<shrugs>> "Worth a try."

That thing is fast, and with a bit of suspension tweaking corners well, but it's all a bit pointless when you have to brake for corners three days in advance. I've even tried dropping F1 brakes into it, and guess what? It *still* brakes like a cow!

Well obviously the brakes aren't the freaking problem then! Some people.

You do realize how fast this car accelerates?

Bollocks#999 - It does sound to me as though the wheelbase difference is too great, but then again I haven't built one. I might have to give it a go and see how it looks.

Dodge the Viper - I know what you're saying, but there's something about this car that makes it not want to slow down. I don't accept that it's just because it's fast. The Speed 12 doesn't exactly hang about, and that never feels under-braked.

This is the near "written in stone" rumor about this car, but in reality, to lower the weight Pagani removed the steering wheel.

My biggest let down "performance to looks" would have to be the Lotus Motor Sport Elise. Sitting Still, this car looks as fast as most of the big guns, but it can be easily out run by other less expensive cars.

Weekly race series race 17 showed the zondas capabilities.

Regulations for the race:

free mods except horsepower @ max. 500.
No racing/price cars and no motorsport elise.

Amongst all cars the best turned out to be the Speed 6 and the runner up was the zonda c12.

I ran the race myself in the zonda and after I got used to the different drivingstyle (yes, it needs more planning in the driving to be fast) it was a pleasure to drive it.

Conclusions about the zonda:
Different to drive: Yes
Slow: No

Results from the race:

1’17.836 Speed 6
1’17.913 Speed 6
1’18.189 Zonda C12
1’18.220 Zonda C12
1’18.225 Zonda C12
1’18.261 Zonda C12
1’18.360 Speed 6
1’18.544 Zonda C12
1’18.580 Speed 6
1’18.656 Speed 6
1’18.713 Speed 6
1’18.732 Speed 6
1’19.378 Speed 6

The 1.8t looks as sporty ,as say, a brick?

And bricks don't look good with spoilers, unless your confusing it with the cup car beetle

I voted for the Esprit. That car hates me, or I hate it, either way I was really hoping alot from it and had similar braking problems as the zonda. I loved the vette grand sport. The 22B is my favorite rally car.

Most of the cars you mentioned actually go quite well.. EXCEPT for the Vette.. But with the Grand Sport :irked: Wonder what kinda sport they were thinking about
I have to go with you on that one is a big disapointment.
