Where is the absolute best place to get distance with a pcj using no cheats and no morph? We've been jumping at the airport and can get 510ft but I see that there are higher records than that.

The best I've ever gotten on the PCJ without using a Superjump was 147 metres (510 ft is 155m) at the airport. The distances in the record book here are for using a tank blasting itself along with it's gun at the big jump at the airport and keep blasting in mid-air to keep up the distance.

How come I keep seeing distances for stunts and wheelies and things posted in feet? My game never reports anything using feet, it's always metres.

That would be the jump at the Airport at the end of the runway. It's the one that is also a Unique Jump so it triggers the slo-mo.
The records you see are pretty much all done with the Rhino doing the same jump. Just tun the turret around and keep firing, the recoil from the shoot will greatly increase the Rhino's top speed.

interesting, never knew that. i thot the rhino was whack in the air cos its like the heaviest vehicle in vc

I tried the merge with bike trick today, i dont see how it greatly increases your jump distance, just stability and accelerastion.....

I'd guess you have the PAL version, it's what I have and it shows it in metres.

It doesn't increase your distance for normal jumps-- but if you want flips on the bike and high rotation then you need to do the morph trick--

Morphing is also a prerequisite for super jumps-- and my best distance is 625 meters doing a superjump.

OK, I just though that because morphing was a prerequisite for superjumps that morphing was all you had to do to get a much further distance.

Also I was trying to do the PCJ playground thing this arvo ( I never did the mini games) and I couldn't get on top of that building to get the checkpoint after you go through the arcade, how is it done???

If its the one I'm thinking of, you get that one last--if what you are calling "arcade" is that little below ground thing- when you get the one down there you have to have moderate amount of speed and get the one in the air after the stairs...then turn right immedidately and collect the checpoint up the street, turn left at the corner and get the ones on that street--the one in front of the garage should be grabbed---turn right up the alley and go about 2/3 of the way up the alley...turn around and gun it. Hit the stairway in the parking garage and you will get one in mid air and land on the roof-- then you have to stop and turn to get the last one.

I'd practice that last jump (before you start) and see where you need to start to land on the roof---its easy to over fly the roof and to leave it short...when you find the right spot to start your run--find some type of land mark (tree or sign) so you know where to turn around.

This page links to either GTA3 or GTAVC superjump pages

The Phils place one is alot easier then the light house one (IMO)--I've only gotten one lighthouse one and it took forever to get it--and then it shot me in the water.

I think when you chekc yours tats it says it in meters, but when you actually complete a stunt and the stunt details come at the bottom of your screen it shows it in feet.

Actually on my version, it never shows it in feet at all. But it could be that the PAL version doesn't show distances in feet for some reason. Us Europeans and our crazy metric system, eh?

If you're looking for a really good time, then don't go up the alleyway, fly round the corner at the right speed and you'll make it. From what I remember, it's best to have enough speed to land on the first roof and then keep going at speed and you'll have enough momentum to make it to the next roof. I think too much speed and you'll fly over the first roof and hit the second building you're meant to land on.

Thanks alot Spuds and KM, also KM, i think it is the PAL version 'cause mine only ever comes out in metres. And the Imperial system is crazy not the metric system!

In the US, its referred to as the English system--and even the english don't use it.

US just never will accept total use of it-- so we are stuck with a dual metric-english system.

Everyday stuff is in English system--

Sciences--usually use metric

I'm lucky in that I'm a Mechanic at a steel plant in the US that bought a Steel Caster Machine made in Japan--so about 1/2 the equipment I work on uses metric nuts and bolts and the other 1/2 english nuts and bolts. :banghead:

Thanks for that tip KM--that might shave a few seconds off my time.

Ah - but it's NOT the English system is it? Your gallons and tons are different to ours (smaller). We measure people's weight in stone and pounds (14lb = 1st).

Even so, all measuring systems are French. Imperial weights and measures are properly known as the "avoirdupois" system, and the metric system is governed from a French institute...

With that help I got it, it took me a few go's to get the right angle, but if I was 1 SECOND faster on my 1st attemp I would have got it, but I got it now so it's off to do all the unique jumps, BTW how do yuo get that one off the really long red piller comming out of the building under construction to register. It's just not working for me.

Hit the building opposite.

What? I think we have our wires crossed?

What Famine is saying is that to register that jump off the long red girder on the building site, you have to fly off the end of the girder and hit the building on the other side of the ride to register that jump.
