LOLed when I was able to beat the Enzo with my beloved Viper ACR in the nurburgring,

Uhhh the viper acr held the rings production car track record, and beat the Enzo by 3.6 seconds. The acr is much faster than an Enzo and the fact that this surprises you tell me you don't keep up on cars in real life.

3.6 seconds is not much on the ring. How that says HuskyGT "don't keep up on cars in real life." is beyond me.

I've always love the Lancia Stratos. Sadly, like the Elise, it has such a short wheelbase that it corners something awful. It's not really oversteer or under steer, it's just bad. When it does oversteer, you might as well give up because either you're already facing the direction you came from or when you go to correct it, it'll lurch and over-correct no matter how little you input.

The Tank Car handles like... a tank?

For a car with the majority of its weight over the rear wheels, the yellowbird love to burn the tires out and oversteer like a beast.

Personally... I hate the FGT, all NASCAR Stock cars, and the kart.
I hate the FGT because I have to put Skid Recovery Force on to be able to accelerate out of a corner fast enough to keep up with the AI.

I hate the Stock Cars because I don't want to drive in a circle for hours on end and these things hate me for trying to turn anything other than laft.

I hate the karts. They can't go over hills or bumps... AT ALL.

Someone said the DOME ZERO. Aw hell naw! I used that thing stock to win the Japanese classics cup or whatever it's called. Plus I like it's styling. It just needs to be lower to the ground.

None of the cars I'm listing as bad are crap. I just don't like the way they handle... some people like 'em I guess.

I loved the karts! They were the most pure fun I've had on this game so far - aside from the sound that Lexus LFA makes going down the Mulsanne straight at Le Mans! You don't need them to do hills or bumps, just a few whips round a kart track, or even Autumn Ring Mini.

I gotta admit the kart races were pretty fun... Right up until Autumn ring mini. Even that track is too bumpy. I'd like the karts a lot better if they could go over bumps. Kinda ruins the vehicle if you can only drive on perfectly flat surfaces.

It'd be cool of they had an off-road go-kart with a roll-cage and all that. I used to have a go-kart as a kid, it was great fun buzzing around the yard at around 40mph while being only inches off the ground.

I think the bumpy roads makes the karts even more fun. You have to be more precise in feathering the gas going around turns and have to learn/pick the right lines on straights for different tracks. It fits in nicely with GT not being a point and squirt game.

According to road and track the Enzo's specs are equivalent to that of the standard viper (2008 model acr data is not there and I am comparing apples and apples). Then you add all the acr fun to the viper and it will be faster. Really it's comparing one of the fastest cars from 2002 and one of the fastest cars from 2009. It stands to reason that the newer car will be faster... That's why I said that, if you know cars you also know that they generally get faster as time goes on and the acr is just the march of progress that's all

This thread is even more pointless now than when it started. Some of the cars being "black listed" are just ridiculous.

Chevelle SS?
Lotus 111r?
Chapparal?
66' Shelby Cobra 427?
Veyron?
FGT?

Just because cars don't all handle like the best modern supercar doesn't mean they are crap; a lot of them are here for nostalgic reasons. Now if we are talking about cars that just make no sense being in GT5, I would have to agree with the Prius and a few others. I don't know why anyone in either a racing OR driving simulator would care about that. :)

FGT is a piece of crap, handles nothing like an F1 car, which it is based on.
Hmm that is why only the X1 beats it on the ring I guess. Get real the FGT is a great car. Perhaps the problem is the driver.

TVR Cerbera Speed 12 is a slow tank at over 1000 BHP...
Slow? what? The speed 12 is very fast even bone stock that sucker is capable of some serious speed. What would it take to not be slow in your book 250mph? 300?

no he is right, it drives nothing like an F1 car and it's not the tune, it fundamentally drives nothing like a single seater on slicks should be, it being fast or not is irrelevant.

I think most cars have a redeeming factor that makes them somewhat desireable, but there are a couple cars which are just not fun to drive:
Prius,...

Actually that is all. The Prius doesn't deserve its garage space, it is simply an example of a "bad car".

If I were being mean I'd add the DeLorean to that, but I still have hope that I can tune out its horrible steering issues. And its stainless steel body aids in flux dispersal, no other car in the game can do that.

Every car can be fun, you just have to set them up properly. I hated the FGT but tonight I persevered with it, (refreshed the chassis) set it up over time and it is becoming a great car. One you have to respect but great nonetheless.

Also it is not based on an F1 car, if you read the description is the ideal Formula car designed with no restrictions in mind. if anything the X1(X2010) is an evolution of this idea.

But from what I see there's nothing on the FGT that's not shared with real F1 cars? Unless it has some unseen aerodynamic gimmicky which allows it to go very sideways without losing any downforce, and magical non-exsistent slick tires that has slip angle of a bias ply tire.

Even if it's not strictly a F1 car but just a single seater, it still is day and night compare to how every other single seater drives - it should be snappy, unforgiving when you lost it, and shouldn't be able to do modulated power slides.

The 2 million dollars Vertigo race car is crap, I regret buying this car so much... M-Benz E150 evo II is crap as well, it handles like a boat. However, the touring car version is much much better.

I didnt say the FGT was not fast, i said it was a piece of crap and handles nothing like an F1 car, the car has hardly any mechanical grip and ridiculous ammounts of downforce at high speeds, more high speed downforce than an F1 car and less mechanical grip than an F1 car. The engine sounds nothing like a V12 revving up to 18,000Rpm.

Having driven Ferrari Virtual Academy's F10, iRacing's 2009 Williams and the Rfactors official 2007 Sauber F1 cars i have a pretty good idea of the best F1 simulators available and have developed quite a skill for them, i also have golded all 3 Sebastian Vettel challenges. The FGT is so far from reality i cant even begin to explain it, i hate the car.. you cannot drive it like an F1 car.. The X1 is fine, but the FGT is shockingly bad.

Edit : You cannot say that it is not an F1 car when it has the same engine configuration, the same body and aerodynamics design as past F1 cars ... it is a Formula 1 car with a fancy name and story.. The real 2004 F1 cars had more power than this thing, its hardly a "no restrictions" racing car like the X1, as it has nothing in the way of inovative thinking or design, it is an F1 car without the brand name.

Ford Taurus SHO '99

Slow pig that steers as well as a cargo ship on ice. Won it for getting completing the Jeff Gordon event as my "modern muscle".

The FGT is not a piece of crap. i just bought one a week ago. Just got the chassis rebuilt. Drives a whole hell of a lot better than it did before. Before it snapped over for anything. Now it doesn't It may still snap over but its been reduced to the point that I've realized it requires a very fine amount of tuning and almost of all of the cars loss in performance comes from an incorrect approach. Drove it properly for a lap at Daytona road. . . OMG it is fast. . . Now, for a car that is total and utter undrivable fail. . . Kinda hard to think of right now actually. . . most of my cars drive ok if they're in proper condition. I have a fully modded mustang thats total crap right now. It might need tuning, but at 702hp, acceleration is lackluster and its cornering ability. . . its cornering ability. Its takes a football field to turn 90 degrees at 60mph on soft racing slicks. My Ferrari Scuderia F430 turns a whole hell of alot better than that.

Ford Taurus SHO: considering it's supposed to be a 'performance sedan' (am I mis-translating that as muscle car?) it fails on several counts.

Firstly, it's front wheel drive. Secondly, it's heavier than the moon. Third, it's got a measly 235hp. Fourthly, it's only got four gears (or at least never gets to fifth). These all combine to make a ridiculously slow car that can't go round corners.

To cap it all off, it's pug-ugly too.

yeah, i hated this car with passion, i won the jeff gordon experience and got a modern muscle car ticket, guess what the ticket gave me ? Taurus SHO, what the hell !, i never thought the taurus was a friggin' muscle car !

With those horsepowers I wanted it come up to at least 380 km/h, but it didn't. Besides that It handles like a house on wheels and the acceleration is just rubbish. :yuck:

If you want more speed, buy the customisable transmission. That's the only thing preventing it from going faster than 350km/h. The accelration is crazy by the way, it has wheelspin in 5th gear! Perhaps you have TCS on, which would totally destroy the appeal of the car. It's badass, but requires an excellent driver to tame it.
