Black (PS2 and Xbox)

Ive been watching this since I saw some screenshots earlier this year, another one Im looknig forward to.

What I do know is that there is going to be no online multiplayer, the development team wants to focus solely on the single player game in order to make the game better than any FPS you have played yet.

One feature I remember reading about was "Ricochet Kills". You can ricochet your shots off of certain objects in order to take out enemies.
 
I wasnt aware it wont be online but thats ok. There are plenty of online games out to keep me busy. The "ricochet kills" sounds like a really cool concept. Seeing all the walls and buildings blow up like that is just amazing!!! That trailer 1 video shocked me! I will definetly at least rent this for sure. 👍
 
I think this game should do well, the Game Informer team was extremely impressed with what they got to see. Mind you this is the same developer of the Burnout series and we all know how well those have done, Lets hope they can pull it off with an FPS.

Watching videos on the internet I couldn't believe that was a PS2 game. But there's a video of it on NFS MW I think, and watching it on a TV screen you can see the graphics aren't THAT awesome. They're pretty good though, Killzone quality but with a better frame rate it seems.

I'm not a big fan of shooters, but I'll keep an eye on this one.
 
That's damn impressive for a ps2 game.
Certainly looks like a game to have. 👍

Thats ok. Half Life 2 for xbox wasnt online either but its a must have. Did you guys watch all the videos of Black? Looks like you can shoot holes in any walls, vehicles, objects, ANYTHING!!! It would be fun to test the physics of this game just like in Half life 2. Blow up anything, shoot it destroy it whewww hewwww!!! I dont need a door I will just blow a hole in the wall. :lol:👍

Hey there little lady... :sly: Oh right concentrate... OMFG! I LOVE THIS MAN! His idea of a FPS isn't new but his concepts are bad ass! I like the way this man thinks! 👍 👍 :bowdown:

:odd: Toward the end they used a certain target to shoot at that was rather questionable and not funny.

That in game vid was pretty lackluster deflating. :grumpy: Still a great game.

I'm surprised no one is bother that it seem like you never die in this game. :dopey: Don't get me wrong it's great for me, saves me the hassle of getting cheats but for you gamer freaks it would be way to easy. :p

Anyway, this game looks really good, it's coming out on Feb 27. Feb looks like a great month for me: my Birthday, We9I, Black, Toca 3 and may be some new info about the PS3....yeahhhh:dopey:
 
Welp... I d/led a vid podcast :drool: from 1up.com to my iPoo and they had a segment with the creator? of the game and he straight up said no PC... he doesn't believe in it because of all the crap you have to deal with before getting the game going. He also says talking about xBox vs PS2 version debate is crap. Both are good.

Either way, I'll be getting this game... I will also have to get a copy of Killzone just because that game was kick ass too.

The AI doesnt look very intelligent but the explosions and graphics look great!! It would be cool if you could blow thru any wall.
I will buy it for the xbox when it comes out. Everythign is better on xbox so I cant wait. :)

np, it feels too much like a arcade game to me and yes the AI pretty much sucks, but again this is just a demo.

I just watched that 6 minute video and it doesnt look bad at all. Again the ai is pathetic but there is a lot going on and tons of action. I think it will be a pretty fun game. I like these fast, action- paced kind of games better than the slow sneaking around FPS games. 👍
Probably sounds great in surround sound. :dopey:
The release date got pushed to 2/27/06. I will update that in the first post.
