Well I just want to state my opinion about Blink 182 to make myself feel better about them. I started to know about them when I heard "All The Small Things" on MTV when I was younger, and at that time, I really didn't appreciate the song as much. Just like listening to the tunes and humming and stuff. I never had in my mind about buying their CD or anything. It was all normal stuff back then (and till now, still is just the same)
However, their last album (untitled) really was very different from their other work. I was really amazed that they come up with "I Miss You" and I totally fell in love with that song. Ever since I listened to that song, I really (for once) actually wanted to buy a CD from Blink 182. (albeit, a pirated copy) But then at that time, I had access to the computer and learn more about B182, and well, the rest is history. Almost all the songs in untitled was simply fantastic to listen to, and the last song "I'm Lost Without You" was very exceptional (with Travis' drum solo at the end 👍)
I do have all their albums on my iPod, and still untitled was still better than their other albums. No doubt about it.

But its a shame really that they break up. The chemistry between the band is there, but I just don't see Tom have the same musical interest as Mark and Travis. Tom ended up forming Angels and Airwaves, and to be honest, it wasn't all that great. Sure you could still recognize a part of B182 with Tom's vocal, but everything else about it is different. But still, its not something that everybody enjoys.....
As for Mark and Travis, they ended up forming +44, which to me, still retains most of the energy that was B182. The song style was the same but with mostly Mark doing the vocals. +44 is really what fans of B182 should listen to, not AvA. But yeah, sad to see them like this. Wish they would have a B182 reunion or something, love to hear them play those greatest hits of them again or even make a new album together, but its never likely to happen......
