Blitz ER34 or HKS Silvia????

i could not get the silvia to drift by any means. It felt so stiff to drift and i couldnt get anything but understeer with it. The Blitz however was the perfect drift machine when tuned right. I sometimes get amazed how peopel are able to drift the silvia but then again i haven't gotten back to the silvia. I first messed with it when i was starting to drift and never touched it again after i got a sileighty.

lol yeah, i tried the HKS and it is extremely hard to find a comfortable setting for me. And yes indeed it is really stiff as if it was meant for grip racing. Thanks for the input though i realy appreciate it.

Silvia all the way. For some reason, i've never had good experiences with the Skyline, but i've pulled off some pretty sweet drifts with the stock Silvia, so my vote goes to it.

Well, they're both drift cars and since money isn't a problem in GT4(there are SO many ways to get quick cash) just get both and see what works for you. I'm honestly trying to figure out what the real point is here.

Well I think this is a pretty nice thread concidering I NEVER was able to drift that HKS thing. Offcourse they're both.....driftable. But that doesn't mean anything, FF cars are driftable in some way too, but I cant drift them.

Both driftable but the skyline is MUCH nicer for me. Option Stream is pretty wicked too

HKS for me! i guess it just suits my style of drifitng to be honest, i got both the cars and the HKS athough harder to initate the drift i find more stable where the Blitz can become a bit edgy and has a tendacy to suddenly snap

Yeah the Blitz snaps like crazy! it's nuts. Im still trying to find a right setting to somehow remove or ease the snap

i found the best setting, use the HKS instead! Seriously though i have found the dampers and the LSD to be the best ways to remove the snappyness, Its just a case of finding whats right for you

I choose the HKS becuase I love HKS and I can't stand the rear bumper on the Blitz.

both are drift ready right out of the box, so those of you saying the silvia is meant for grip have no idea what they're talking about. I've found that since the were meant for drifting, their settings should ultimately be left alone; however, tires can make a HUGE difference in terms of control while drifting. I've found its easier in the ER34 to use hard tires in the front and medium in the rear, it eliminates the snapiness altogether; but you have to get used to the increased initial understeer. But after that, the rear tires really do most of the turning for you, and the understeer up front eliminates the tendency for the car to recoil and spring in the other direction. Just like in that early liscense test on Leguna Seca with the European minivan-thing. I think it was a Renault Megane...

Thanks for the info bro, and i didn't literally mean it was meant for grip, i just said it sorta feels like it. I dont know, It might be different because of driver skills. And Thanks about the tyres im gonna switch them now.

It really goes ether way with me, The Blitz has crazy oversteer and can get amazing angle, the only problem is exiting the drift without snapping. The HKS is nice and stable, but is hard to get a lot of angle

I agree with you that the ER34 has less understeer.

Taking the bone stock settings and only changing tires on both vehicles, the ER34 feels better. The HKS Silvia is very peaky with its traction/wheel spin probably because of the high torque. It's also a bit finicky with lateral weight shifts, a little too sensitive for my style. The ER34 is more smooth through the powerband making it more controllable in drift.

With proper tuning, you could probably dial in both vehicles to your drift style and make them both good. Just do the german touring car tournament and buy both if you can't decide.

Blitz ER34 with stock settings + N3's works for me. I can kinda drift the silva, but I can't get good angles with it like the ER34.

Taniguchi's car (RS2 Silvia) has downforce and Nomuken's drift machine doesn't in this game but right now it has a wing in the rear in real-life. Even Keiichi told that after he crashed the RS1 model (in Tengoku 8) "the downforce is powerful" which you need to enter the corner at a higher speed.

Anyways. i voted for the HKS Silvia since the car can grip much better (not stock but tuned with n1 tires)

Go drift Twin-Motegi oval course in the last bank (tip start ur drift at 180-210 km/h with N1) and try this 2 cars you will see a big difference in both of them.

no offence but thos are both just monsters try using cars that dont tip the 400hp mark if your a real man try 125hp any moron can drift a monster it takes skill to drift a Ks car (60hp) like the capp

hyper d1 s15 I love this car alot but it is very hard to tune i have been working on it alot . I would like to fine tune this car as much as possible. If anyone has any tips to helpme that would be very appreciated
