I love it, and didn't even bother going into quick tune. I like it stock and find it easy to drift (well not easy compared to other cars, but yea...). I am using a DFP with FF on 3, profesional mode. All I can say is practice, practice and practice. It's possible.

I know it's possible...but it's hard! Any technique recommendations? I thought it would drive similar to the R32 drift car in the HD concept...I could hit 15,000+ points...this thing I can't even nail one drift :(

Ahhh...the D1 cars...

You got to have crazy good throttle control...I remembering going full throttle in one of those things in GT4, you would end up spinning out. What i did when i was still using a controller was rapidly pressing and releasing the X button...

The R32 Skyline is AWD. The Blitz ER34 Skyline is RWD. Completely different techniques need to be applied to drift RWD cars, as opposed to AWD's.

;)

I was going to say the same thing DR. This car feels weird to me for some reason. I am not sure what it is, but whatever it is i wish i could fix it somehow.

I just think it's too unstable at high speed, and that it has too much downforce. I find it really good at slow speed though.

I love it. Makes me feel like Nomuken.

Now if I could just find some D1 Gals to harrass. :D

azn.. i dont know how you drift this car.. i tried it one time and told my self i woudnt get back into it lol

I find it difficult to drift this car with g25 but easily with controller (although i'm not using controller since the first day of GT4). I'm craving for consistency. With the pro physics using g25 wheel, the snapback you get from this car is enormous, but with the controller it seems to have a fine grip especially at mid corner when you need it. I have a feeling that the controller simulates more natural understeer handling, which suites my style for drifting very high powered cars (I use a lot of feinting and powerover). But the thing is, I don't like and never liked drifting with controller. From my observation, drifting replays from controller look very awkward because of the superquick and unrealistic front tire movements.

Tried various setups, but still unsuccessful with steering wheel. The other one is Ford GT40 and this is really bugging me!!. Drifting these cars feels very twitchy. Even I have a clean lap drifting them, I can see from replays that I could not get it smooth yet. I would say that my drifts are very erratic with these cars.

Quite frustating because I have no problem drifting smoothly using G25 with other FR or MR cars though. Can't be that hard drifting this Blitz in real life??

I want to look like Ken Nomura too in that car!! haha...

Are you using S3 or S2 tires?

Most of the time I use N2 or N3 same tyres front and rear. Never tried S tyres though. And I'm keeping it in stock weight and HP setup because I always have in mind that's the way this car should be in real life...

I'm finding it hard (DFP), mostly because my gas pedal is broken. It automatically applies throttle even with my foot off the pedal, so any lift-off techniques won't work most of the time.

I think with the R32 I was able to avoid using any lift-off techniques, so it was manageable.

Will it really be worth it to buy a DFGT? I don't want to spend $150 on a DFGT only to find the full gran turismo 5 supports a newer version of the G25, with a clutch and all...any suggestions?
