I work at Blockbuster and our computer says the street date is 9/17/2004. Hopefully that date will stay!

My sentiments exactly. Yamauchi will announce a date when he's he's happy that it's good and ready. Which he hasn't so to keep the punters happy, shop stores estimate release dates. Because they have presold loads of copies. What is amazing is that they don't estimate dates based on anyone elses, so there's hundreds of guessed dates across the globe.

When he anounces a release date, everyone will know about it, even your grandmother. (no offence)

Gamespot has an official remark from Sony saying it will be definately in the fall. The way they put it, it sounds more like oct. or nov. but if they're going to wait that long they might as well wait for christmas.
