First time I have looked at this thread and my initial reaction to this car was similar to many: virtually perfect all round but wholly unrealised around the kidneys. But then continuing through the thread and seeing other pics of it at lower angles, in the metal and in race livery and the front has grown on me already. It took about 5 minutes!

Still not in love with it but I could see myself growing to not even notice that quirky front in time. And the rest of the car is just so wonderful I could happily live with that single blemish anyway.

At $750,000+ (truly disgusting for a volume saloon-based sports coupe) and with extremely limited production, I'm not sure it really counts.

The rest of the range are still Bavarian Beavers.

Our spies stumbled upon the BMW 3.0 CSL testing hard its upgraded inline-six engine at the Nurburgring. The RWD coupe will be out late this year with a manual.
