Running the madrid now, pretty easy gold imo, still tuning to get close to the aliens on this go around

Hah! I actually made top 20 a couple weeks ago. Now I'm barely hanging onto top 3,000.

Yeah i think i got in the first couple of minutes tonight too, i started at 117 now dropped to 179..
But the car is barely set up just have my gearing done ,it will take lots more laps to get the suspension when i need it

What time did you run with that? Looks similar to mine but I ran a bit more power and a little heavier.

Thanks for the tune . Handles nice. Have hit my peak for my skill level (or lack there of ha ha ) @ 1:31.754 Just can't seem to push any harder without losing it.
Any suggestions? I know " keep on practicing " but any tips to knock a second off would be much appreciated.
I am using Lisanorms tune.

Most important thing(imo) with this track is good clean exit from hairpins and turns. Also just keep it smooth and steady around hairpins>>> so that you get a nice clean exit .

well i know the hand brake thing works i did shave some time,i too are prob like you i am not fast,but you will find some are faster here where others are not,all i do is try and find spots where i know i can pick up time and change little things in my tune which does not always work out to which i will try other tunes and change bits here and there,i put this tune up to help others like me who struggle with gold,i am sure faster guys and girls will post something soon..download and watch some of the top guys sometimes helps a little bit..sorry i can not give you more i dont know the dynamics of racing or anything more trial and error....sorry to blab on

bad track for me I'm just not fast on Madrid
Note if you build the car and the PP is off please let me know I was trying to burn off an oil change on the car I think I burned it off but not 100% sure.
 
First session, down to 1'30.616. Still in the early stages of tuning...I should have something up by this evening though.
 
1'29.770 now, almost got the tune dialed in.

I really have to give a shout out to @yannagas for his very useful write up here https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/thre...r-little-things-you-might-find-useful.304715/ and also for taking time out of his day to further explain some things to me about trans tuning which I still wasn't completely understanding. With his help, I now have a better understanding on the whole torque vs. hp and how it relates to properly tuning the transmission. When you get time, I highly suggest those interested to stop by the above thread and give it a read, its very informative and there is a lot to be learned from it. Thank you @yannagas you're a great asset to the community. :bowdown:

A few more hours of fine tuning and I'll publish my tune for anyone who would like to try it. I have to say that I am pretty pleased with how its coming, this car seems to react to subtle changes more so than most cars, and they seem to have a more pronounced effect on the handling. Not sure what any of that might mean, but its just an observation I had today. Alright gang, back at it. Cheerio. :lol:

Its a very loose but fast tune and care should be taken with both throttle and brake inputs. My current time with the tune is 1'29.363 in 35th place atm, still very early in the event. There is still a lot of improvement out there for me, just have to string it all together. Good luck everyone.

I'm looking forward to see your tune and see how my own compares, i know you are more skilled at driving than I am.
Id like to think im getting better with my own tuning ability but madrid is not one of my favourite tracks.
Right now im barely faster than 1.5 seconds better than gold and i know i can improve on that

Howdy seasonal folk! Some of you are familiar with the FITT organization in the tuning forum and for others this may be a first intro.

We have just opened a quick 2 week event (1 to tune, 1 for testing) centered around this time trial. I would like to invite everyone interested to come take a look and see if you would like to either submit a tune, test the tunes that will be submitted, or both!

DAMN i think both my ds3's are cactus,well i know 1 is other is deff on its way,will have to get the ol 200° force feedback wheel a whirl mmmm could be fun :nervous:
