I just had a thought. Why is BMW so overlooked in this game? In the entire GT Series I've noticed that BMW has never really been shown off the way it should be.

There's dozens of Premium Mazdas, Nissans, and Toyota's. There's also a bunch of manufacturer specific tuning companies, none of which are Alpina or Dinan. I'd trade all the standard cars for some primo Bimmers and RUFs...

Yeah, there's a few more carried over from GT4, but this is GT5. I wanted to experience BMW down to the MPG Gauge.

They're missing a whole line of M Series, and even baseline 1-7 series cars, that would be awesome to nit pick and tune to our own personal specifications.

Thoughts?
 
I agree, but did you play GT3. There was 1 BMW, and it wasn't even a M3. I think it was a 120i. Anyways, hopefully we can get a M6, E30 M3, and the M1.
 
I agree, wheres the M1? wheres the E30 and E36?

VW is overlooked even more...

An M1 would be fantastic! Replace the Delorean with it.

I was never into VW but there's a huge fan base for those too. Just imagine the rivalry there could be between VW, BMW, and Mercedes!

On a side note... I'd kill for a Z8 :drool:

The E30 M3 is probably the car I miss the most. I mean, that's one of the most popular cars used for track racing that ever came out of Germany. Out of all of Europe, probably. The E36 is a similar case, just not as important.

Having the E60 M5 and the E92 M3 alongside the Z4M, Z4, 135i and 1Tii is a decent selection in my opinion. And I can understand skipping the M1, to a certain extend.
No E30 M3, and, to a lesser exxtend, E36 M3, that's what's getting me down... I do hope PD remembers those car for GT6, though.

In my opinion, the M3 is Europe's Skyline. Granted, I don't need 50 M3s, but there are only four generations of those cars. Getting them in there shouldn't be impossible, right?

God, I'd friggin' love a E30 M3 RM, by the way...
 
Meh to be honest I only think we are really missing on the E30 and the Procar. The rest is irrelevant to me.
 
I just want a regular-ass 5 series. As an 528i owner I thought this car was a shoe-in and couldn't wait to drive my car. Nope, I can only drive the super car that looks a helluva lot like my car.

People say well at least you got the M5, its pretty much the same thing. The M5 and the baseline 5 series are two TOTALLY different cars, they just have the same body(to and extent even!).

I just get upset when people try and tell me that they are pretty much the same. That's like saying the EVO and the Lancer are the same car.

To be fair, if they had to choose between putting in a M5 and a 528i, I can see why they chose the M5.

But they didn't HAVE to choose. Heck if they did have to, why not replace the Daihatsu Midget? Does anyone actually use those more than once if at all? :)
 
I'm bummed about the lack of BMWs too. Although my favorite car (which I plan to own someday) the E46 M3 is still there, I'd have loved to see the Premium treatment on it. And for christ sake, WHY is the 2002 still just a standard? And of course... where are all the greats? E30, E36, 6 and 7 series period? Also I was really looking forward to a lot of new concepts in GT5 and I feel very let down. Where's Gina? Or the awesome looking new hybrid concept?

Yea, I know, I'm being totally bias. The Ms are the ones they actually use for racing, but they could have had both. They got the Miata AND the ENUOS!:dopey:

And what about the 6 series? I thought they were legit sports cars???

Uhm, yeah.

For example, a Ford F150, has multiple motors, plus 2WD and 4WD options..it's still an F150.

And, at the very least we should be lucky that they didn't only include the base model 5-series. Other cars in the game (Premiums, even!) weren't so lucky. For example, the non-performance models of the Fiat 500.
I miss the way they set up things in GT2, where they included a wide range of models for many cars.
 
I do wish there was an E39 M5, E36 M3 and a M1 :guilty:

But im very happy with the M3 CSL, some serious grip in that machine when you have adjusted the suspension. 👍
 
The same can be said about many other car manufacturers, not just your precious BMW.

Volkswagen (New GTI, GLI, CC, etc...), Audi (RS5, new S4, a properly modeled R8 V10, etc...), Acura (models like the TSX/Accord Euro R and TL), and Hyundai (for the Genesis coupe) just to name a random few.

It is what it is.

I'm pretty sure that the E46 is the best out of BMW's M series cars. I'm surprised that they didn't give that one a premium make over, but where is the E92 GTR? They could have included the '03 M5 as well. At least they added the best BMW's they could get their hands on. There is the 2002 Turbo in there, wondering where the racing version is. They could have included the DTM E30 as well, but then again they did somehow forget to include the E190 DTM car too. Which was in GT4 by the way. Hopefully they add cars and stop losing cars, can only dream about 1000+ premium cars and many of which have accurate aftermarket parts to bolt on. I could be quite upset about the A Spec RX7's that have been missing since GT2, those cars were just ace. Many cars were left out because of who knows what. Just be glad they didn't include the crappy cars from most of the other manufacturers line up. There could be a chevy cavalier, or the oldsmobile cutlass, lol.

Isn't the E190 DTM car the race version of the E190 Mercedes? Or am I getting confused.

190 DTM is in GT5. It is a prize car, in fact.

That car has no liveries, the one from GT4 has that silver and black livery on it. I haven't seen that car in GT5 as of yet. I have two of the E190's both black with that giant wing on it. You remember the one(DTM) in GT4 you had to do a lap using that car for a license test, GT5 so far all I see is the road going version. Unless they removed the livery, which is a shame.

If you do the DTM race, there was 1 in the field, it was black with silver lines, and it had a number on the side.
 
I'd like to see the 1 series M coupe in the game when it's released this summer, yeah the 135tii is there but I still want the 1 series M
 
As everyone else has said the E30 M3 is a glaring omission. I also think there should be a '73 3.0CSL, an '87 M6, and what the hell, how about the 507 roadster? I don't think that's asking too much.
 
They are both in the game. They were both in GTPSP, and the only cars that were in that game that aren't in GT5 are the two FPV Falcons.
