Which is why I said GTPSP instead of GT4. There are probably a dozen or so cars from GT4 that aren't in GT5.

The DTM E190 can be found in the UCD rarely..

I am a huge German car fan as I own a E30 BMW and an VW MkV GTI. I believe they all got cheated out of Premiums..BMW and VW both have 6 Premium cars. Audi has 7, and Mercedes only has 5..would LOVE to see a PREMIUM E30 M3 added to this list.

I was seriously looking forward to this game because i thought they would include a premium E46 M3 and an E92 335i. My heart was broken when i saw the amount of BMWs. Especially the M5 since its modeled so poorly.
 
Yea i dont understand why there are barely an BMW's in GT5 or any of the GT series there are so many BMW fans out there wishing that this would be the game where they could buy other BMW's but cant, they need the 3 series the 5 series an 7 series an its not like they have to put more than one car from that series just 2 per series.
 
I was surprised by Acura and them only having an NSX.
 
It's disappointing that older BMW's like the E30 M3, 635 csi and M1 are yet to make an appearance in Gran Turismo.

If I remember well, the M1 was in GT2, but yes, it would be nice to have it in GT5.

And I think its true that the BMW 3 series is Europe's Nissan Skyline.

I agree, but did you play GT3. There was 1 BMW, and it wasn't even a M3. I think it was a 120i. Anyways, hopefully we can get a M6, E30 M3, and the M1.

I'm also gutted that there are less BMWs in here. I heard that PD has to pay a lot of money for licensing to get those cars into the game? If they can have like (60?) different Nissan Skylines then why not just add some like the M6, E30 M3 etc into the game?

I would understand that the M3 GTS and the 1M didn't made it because those cars are very new, and even if they have the license, I think it was too late for PD to include them into the release anyway.

EDIT: Almost forgot, the BMW M3 GT2!

The Lancer and Evo really aren't the same car, for the most part. Maybe the current ones are, but the previous models have been very different.

But on topic, I'd have liked to see the previous 3 M3's. E46, E36, E30. Possibly the M1 and 2002 Turbo. Audi has three TT's, plus the HPA model.
 
For me the two BMW's that are must haves would be the E30 M3 and the 3.0 CSL.

I am as disappointed as any of you are about GT5 not including more BMWs (or other German cars even), and there are some glaring omissions, (E30 M3 comes to mind). However, with all the cars that have ever existed, it will always be a work-in-progress to include more cars. Since PD is from Japan, I imagine that Japanese cars are much more available to them (ie. they don't have to travel far to model them), and I bet the partnerships they have with Japanese car makers are longer and stronger. Also, I'm sure there a ton of licensing and behind-the-scene access issues at work here that PD will never publicly talk about, leaving us to speculate why more BMWs aren't included.
 
Travesty the E30 M3 wasn't included. I had a 86 325 - while no M3 or any where close - that is one heck of a chassis. Even a plain old boring 3 series was a blast when you wanted one. :)

I mean, the E30 M3 is still relevant via series like the VLN and bajillions of autocrossers and smaller series around the world. Huge success in touring cars - unforgivable.

Oh, and the E92 M3 GTR - you know, the car that won the Nurburgring 24h last year? /Rage

But yes, it is terrible how shafted BMW is and has been in the GT World. Especially seeing how PD seems to like things that are pushing the possible and on the cutting edge.........
 
I'm guessing the lack of BMW's is primarily due to the fact that this game was developed by a Japanese company. There are probably more Skyline variants than all the European cars combined :lol:

The more important question is why did they choose the BMW's that they did give us? The E30 M3 has been mentioned many times as an obvious omission. What about the M1, and variants like the Procar?

I'm bummed about the lack of BMWs too. Although my favorite car (which I plan to own someday) the E46 M3 is still there, I'd have loved to see the Premium treatment on it. And for christ sake, WHY is the 2002 still just a standard? And of course... where are all the greats? E30, E36, 6 and 7 series period? Also I was really looking forward to a lot of new concepts in GT5 and I feel very let down. Where's Gina? Or the awesome looking new hybrid concept?

Yes, Gina and the hybrid are great looking cars. Would love to drive them in GT5.
 
I'm glad the Z3 M Coupe is in the game; I would have liked to see the E30 M3 present in various versions: Evo, EvoII, Sport Evolution, Cecotto, Ravaglia etc.

I absolutely love the Skyline/GT-R lineage, but 51 versions is overkill.

PD had to cut down on the number of cars. GT3 has, what, 20% of the cars GT2 had? It's just sad that they decided to get rid of the BMWs...

Well, at least the new BMW 1series M Cooupe is coming to GT5, if the rumours hold true 👍
 
having the 3.0 CSL would be awesome along with the E30 and E36 M3....

It couldn't have been that difficult to model BMW's... If they had time to go to Daytona Beach and talk to Jeff Gordon, and exactly replicate the Ring in GERMANY, and had the time to put one million different skylines, (which isn't that fantastic of a car....) then they should have found the time to give BMW their respects.
