BMW M3 (E36) 1992

Here in South Africa, the E36 M3 2door came in a detuned SA spec as well as a German spec. A small number of M3s were assembled here, maybe @Gogga can add some info. Would love to have this car in the game.

The Euro spec is 236kw/321hp and the South African version is 228kw.
The SA version also has different pistons reducing the compression to 10:5:1 from the Euro Spec 11:3:1.
The reason for this is is because we apparently have a too low octane level of fuel.

OP has some errors, the e36 in 1992 did not have 240hp it had about 320. The USA version had 240hp, but they weren't imported to the US until the '95 model.

Why have a four banger BMW when you can have this? The E30 is good and has history and all, but screw it. this is the best M3 ever.

I agree, the e30, e46, e90 and e92 are all awesome, but they are either powerless or a little heavy compared to the e36. :)

One of the most dominating cars in motorsport, the E36 M3's are widely available to drivers, very easy to modify, and are still used in high profile races like the 24 hours of Nurburgring.

Since its debut in 1992, its been hailed as one of the best handling cars ever made. It featured 240hp from its straight six, weighing in at 3200 lbs, and offered a nearly 50/50 weight distribution, perfect for a sports car. Over 71,000 E36 M3s were produced.

Despite a majority having high mileage these days, its still heavily used by all drivers, from the fun daily drivers to track prepped racers.

There are images of Sedans, Coupes, Convertibles and Race Car.

Please pick one. It is so confusing... Is this thread for BMW M3 E36 Coupe?

I'm starting to love this car when I played NFS High Stakes on my first gen playstation, it was nearly 15 years ago.
I remember that it was there. :) SCGT had it too though. :D

Everytime I check this subforum it seems like we use a little bit of ground to the leaders, but I think we're still close enough to be noticed by PD if they ever check this section.

Players have been asking for this car in GT since 2014. There's no PS4 game so far that features the E36, that's a shame. Personally I'd prefer the '99 version. It has a 3.2 l motor and white turning lights.
