Nah, it was just alcohol-influenced. Though I do sort of mean what I said. The coupe looks better IMO (I don't mind the hatch, but I genuinely like the coupe) and as Niky points out, it's not the most practical of hatches (well, of cars) in the first place.
 
Ah, fair enough. I guess I'd like it for the quirk factor...I mean, I'm the kind of guy who'd LOVE to have an AMC Gremlin...
 
I'd love to have Gremlin too.. They're misunderstood cars, those.. But, back on topic.. What do you guys think, is there even a slight chance of lighter, track oriented model of 1-series? the Tii-concept was a step to that direction, but they didn't build it..
 
The 1-series coupe is my second favorite BMW (behind the E93 M3), but they've ruined it! What where those wheel arches about? The trademark 'M' wheels look WAY too big, and the car's almost too small too look sporty and aggresive.

It's almost another pointless filler (whe had the X6, bridging the gap between Coupe and 4x4) now this filling the gap between hot hatch and sport saloon!

Very much i respect your opinion, but BMW will build it anyway... I don't think this car is small though, the E36/8 M-Coupe was even smaller than this!

This is a successor to the E86 M-Coupe as I understand eventhough some say this is much more of a true successor of the E30 M3. But we all know previously the M-Coupe was based on a Z4/Z3 but why not based on the Z4 is unknown and why no Z4M is also unknown.

No one has yet to post these renderings of it so I will show you what the car might look like.
