just showed up in my used car lot for 3.7 million.....thinking about buying it...should I?
any thoughts on this car?

lol very true but I know I can get a new Peugot 908 for 4 million from the dealership, so was just wondering how the bmw stacks up against its counterparts

Well, the other is a LMP car, so my spidey senses would say its superior to the MC. But the MC is rarer in that you might not see it again.

If I had money to spend I'd get the BMW , the 908 will always be there sitting in the dealership, not the McLaren though.

They are both LMP cars. The BMW has nothing to do with McLaren, its got more Williams in it.

No, they both took part in the Le Mans 24h, but the 908 is Le Mans Prototype (LMP), where as the F1 is a grand tourer. Also, the F1 uses a BMW engine.

It's not an F1. It's a BMW LMR V12 designed by Williams Grand Prix team for BMW to take on the LMP class in sportscar racing (same class as Pug 905 etc). It's a good car - buy it.

Sorry Carlos :) Like you say though, the BMW is a good car! I dont think it will be as fast as the Pug though, all that torque..

Who wouldn't want the car that won one of the greatest Le Mans 24 hour races ever? Plus it sounds amazing if they've done the real car justice.

^ Indeed. It was one of the first (if not THE first) open-cockpit cars among increasingly popular closed-cockpit ones to win the race. I'm not sure exactly what you're referring to, but this fact is quite significant.
