So apparently it's okay to leave out vital information which follows thereafter? Geeez... No wonder this world is in a perilous future..
Ok. I'll fix it:

Calling the game dumb because he thinks the Z4 GT3 is terrible and whatever other trivial reason he decided not to elaborate on

Happy now? Good.... Now back to ranting on about me saying nothing at all.

The z4 being a terrible car is not why I think the game is dumb. You can scower these forums for those reasons. Anyone got a tune that makes the car fun yet at those specs?

Seriously?.... I mean I know they say ignorance is bliss but my gosh...

I never said I had a problem with him not elaborating on whatever his issue is with the game.

Jesus...

Then what was the initial point of your post? Rampaging on to start a rant over something silly?

Anyways, I find that if you spend at least a Thousand miles (or however many kilometers that is) with a car you learn a lot. And then another thousand with your tuning, you almost master the car. Patience is king in racing and there is always the next lap

Whatever you say...
I regret nothing, I love this machine.

However, you went and blew a post that meant nothing out of proportion, getting me into a bad mood and everyone now hates each other more than they usually do.

Back on topic, I still have not changed my opinion on this machine.

So, tonight I did Z4 GT3 vs GT-R GT3 vs SLS GT3 vs R8 LMS Ultra... each at Motegi East, Eiger Norwand, Brands Hatch and Bathurst.

Conclusion:

There's really nothing in it times wise - except for the R8.. I gave up since I wasn't able to set a lap without coasting through many of the turns on each of the circuits - literally, 3 secs a lap slower at most tracks to avoid spinning!.

Overall, out of the 4 cars. The SLS is just so easy to drive, even though it was a tenth or so off the Z4.. over 10 laps or so I'm sure the fact that it just goes on and on without any drama would give it a decent lead. In comparison, the Z4 is a little quicker, but it's way too sensitive to undulations under braking. The Turbo nature of the GT-R meant that it would feel sluggish, right up until the point the torque kicked in and the back end started to slither- heavy but stable.

All laps completed Stock, using a wheel, ABS1, other aids off, MT, RH/RH.

I bought the Z4 GT3 a while ago but I initially thought basically the same thing as the OP after a couple of tries with it. It spun out way to easily and is impossible to slow down without snap oversteer. I just touched the rumble strip a Suzuka and it was around in no time. i parked it and haven't touched it since.

Figured I'd try again so I took it to my test track Special Stage Route 5 and turned some laps.

Bone stock,racing hards - 1:21.170
Bone stock,racing mediums - 1:19.639
Bone stock,racing softs - 1:18.561

Hab-Racing 600pp tune racing hards - 1:18.939
Hab-Racing 600pp tune racing mediums - 1:17.500
Hab-Racing 600pp tune racing softs - 1:16.302

For myself the tune helped immensely. its certainly more forgiving if you touch the rumble strips, on exit and braking.
The Hab tune does seem to make it much more managable.

I'd also note that i flipped the car over once with softs on the stock tune so you have to be careful on the curbs.

The stock handling is 🤬, but on a proper set-up will make the difference.

did you try it on racing softs also?

What's the fixation with racing soft?

IMO they give all cars too much grip at their respective naturally grippy end, causing unwanted, extreme changes in grip at the limit.

They should only be used on Redbull fan cars IMO.

The Z4 is fine with a good setup.

Whoever drives the Z4 gt3 in real life will all have different setups to eachother, depending on driving style and preferences to handling characteristics. Why would GT6 be any different?

What are you talking about? The Z4 is amazing, and once you get it setup correct, it turns almost as good as a GT500. Really getting tired of; oh this car sucks, oh that car sucks. Just take a few laps and learn the characteristics of the car, or do a little tuning, and the Z4 is a great car.

This man very much agrees..

And if a chap with no legs can drive one.... how hard can it be :D :D :D

What ? No legs  TCS at max

When Zanardi raced in the WTCC the car was fitted with a ring behind the steering wheel that Alex used as an accelerator. Gear shift was sequential stick, and he used his prosthetic legs for braking. Since it's still ROAL motorsport running the car, I guess they will go for a similar system on the Z4.

I agree with you but the fixation comes from my need to race real people. Unfortunately most rooms run race cars on racing soft tires. The car is pretty "decent" on racing hards but on softs it's a nightmare. And to whoever said it's an amazing car... I agree aesthetically it is amazing. However it is far from it handling wise, ESPECIALLY on racing softs. Unless your just driving it slow. Coasting around corners and such. Anything handles good then. Show me this setup for racing softs that makes the car FUN/GREAT to drive and can run 1:51's or 52's consistently at 552hp and 1250 kg's at GP/F. Good luck.

It might not be a programming error...

However that is not how the car actually drives. Most GT3 cars IRL are extremely stable, neutral, and easy to drive. GT3 cars in GT6 however, another story...

PD seems to apply wacky physics to what they want based on how they want the car to drive. Newsflash it isn't how it's supposed to be.
May I ask you if you have ever driven any GT3 car IRL? I just find it to be funny when people say the handling of a car is unrealistic when they have never driven that car IRL. For me I think it is a rather easy car to drive, it's one of my favorite cars in the game.

Offline or online?

You might wanna watch that again...
Why? The car braked, and went off doing so. The 12C was a long way behind it and not even directly behind him as he went off, so if you're suggesting that, well...

As I've already stated, it's not a matter of easy or hard. The car's handling is unrealistic in GT6, same with the R8 LMS. GT3 cars are meant to be neutral, only going crazy when you really thrash them. After all, for a GT car they have less power than most GT2 class cars, heavier (I believe), and much more aerodynamics. They're meant for amateur racers. Plus you'd think if every other game plays one way, and then GT6 has some wild difference... Maybe there's a reason GT6 is so different from the others. (Hint: It's not cause it's more realistic!)

At the 48 some-odd second mark, the car that is spinning out is an SLS... We are talking about a Z4 correct?
