Board Vs. Board Challenge Information
We are currently waiting for the details of the next event in the Board vs. Board Series. Information will posted to those who are fast enough to make the team.

Introduction and Warnings
While we are waiting for details we need to get our team assembled. I am to be your team captain so all times will be submitted to me using the email address: TeamGTPlanet@hotmail.com. If any times are questionable, they will be investigated. If we find out that you have cheated, you will be kicked off the team in a public and embarrassing manner and you will be banished from GTPlanet.net. Cheating in these events will not be tolerated and strict measures have been taken to insure that no one does.

Qualifying Information
The Top Ten Racers in the qualifying event will make up the team, the next top ten racers will be substitutes in the event that a particular event cannot be completed by a racer.

The qualifying races will be all the Time Trials in GT3. This was chosen to insure that we pick the best "Drivers" that we can. Settings and Modifications will come from group input during the Board vs. Board series.

Each Race will be based on the point system. Here's how it works:

  • 1st Place - 10 Points
  • 2nd Place - 8 Points
  • 3rd Place - 6 Points
  • 4th Place - 4 Points
  • 5th Place - 2 Points
  • 6th Place - 1 Point
  • all other places will be given no points for that event.

Once all the Time Trials are done, the points will be added up and the members with the most number of points makes the team.

*Please note* - If you decide to try and qualify to join the team, you must submit times for all Time Trials On or Before the due date of each race. Lateness and lack of Time Submissions is immediate disqualification.

Details on the Due times for each Time Trial can be found here.
Be sure to SAVE REPLAYS of all best times. You may be asked to provide Split Times.

Excellent! I'm already practicing... :D

Wow, I'm actually exited about this. Really strange for me ...

Too bad I don't have enough posts. But I guess that's ok, because I don't do too well under competition with people I don't know. I like kicking the crap out of my friends though (:

Are the time going to be posted anywhere after they're all collected? I'd like to know how I stand "post trials" to see if I want to sign up for the next one.

Also, are there ever going to be any "open ended" race competitions? It sure would be fun to have people pitting their favorite car's times against eachother. Even if it's just members of GTPlanet.

I totally agree with having recordings. In fact, if you can get some volunteers, you could make it required that everyone have recordings, even if they have to send VHS tapes to people with capture cards. That way you can ensure that GTP is completely honest in the Board vs Board competition. I bet no other board can claim that!

LoudM, I would suggest that if your excited about this, than you need to get to posting. I know some people who have post 300 posts in one day! I'm not suggesting, but. . . . .

Yes, Times will be posted for the Top 10 Times of each race, along with running Points of each member who enters it. I would love to see you try and qualify. Just need the posts man!

Good Luck!

I take it that a certain member of questionable morals will be excluded from any future races. Especially after the Board vs Board Race #9 scandal.

We learn from our mistakes! I am hoping that only honest racers with some self-respect and integrity will try and qualify. Oh yeah, I'm also looking for VARY FAST drivers. :D The numbers will sort 'em out.

To be perfectly honest with you PAKO I would normally agree, we do learn from our mistakes. And if there's anything to be learnt from the Board vs Board challenge is that ZeroCool 85 cannot be trusted to submit real times. I would seriously consider the consequences of letting him be a part of any future race series wether it's just this board or inter board challenges.

Well just to let you know, I remember reading in a thread, Jordan had stated that ZeroCool was banded from viewing the Challenges and Races Forum. Since all details and specifications are in this forum, he won't even know about it, and even if he does, he won't know any details. So if he can't read the threads, I don't know how he can enter it.

Now that we know that zero won't be racing, lets get on with it. :D

Good times, but I'm afraid your mistaken on your Complex Sting time.

Better check your typing - otherwise. . . . . . . You are one hell-of-a driver that should be on OUR TEAM without any questions asked! :D
