I recently stood on these scales that use electric thingamagic signals to tell how much % fat you have.

165cm, 17 years old and i came up with

14% fat and 63.1kg.

Is this pretty good? and i was wondering what some of you guys got and what you do (play sports, go to gym etc)

I just ride dirtbikes and BMX a bit, and the odd backyard rugby game. Nothing special really.

However what does it all mean? Is there a special range to be in?

Thanks.

Short arse!

Are you still as skinny as you were when you posted that pick a while ago showing the scar?

depends which pic you mean, but im not skinny, probably normal frame.

Can do 1hand 1 foot pushups (left arm, right leg, right arm, left leg) and i ride dirtbikes so im definetly not skin and bones, but im no arnold schwarznegger either.

You are about where I was when I was 17, S_F.

Lets put it this way - my weight training teacher in 11th grade told me not to lose any weight. Over the next 8 months I got hooked on weight lifting and gained 23 pounds of muscle (from 142 lbs to 165). Ever since, my body fat percentage has been high, as most of the time they only go off of height and weight - not the best combination, IMO.

I have come across a percentage calculator that uses chest and stomach measurement to calc. I'll have to look for it later.

Edit: It's not the one I found originally, but it'll do. They're all the same anyway. Apparently, based on my height, weight, activity level, etc., I'm supposed to eat 120 grams of protein a day. :scared: Even when I was lifting I don't think I did that. Close, though.

waist size to weight is much more accurate in the online BFP "tests" I've done.

body mass index and body fat percentage are different... arent they?

i am 215pounds 6foot. and my body fat% is 11. :p

200lbs and 5'6"...

BMI calculator says I'm OBESE.

Hahaaahaa...

yeah bmi is bull****
if you are gonna pay attention to anything beside performance... it should be bodyfat percentage and defficiencies in vitamins and stuff which is determined by blood tests and er... stuff

Hahaaahaa...

Unless your juiced up to your eyeballs and even then at your age its near impossible to be a lean muscular 200lbs.

Can I refer you to the ludacrious claims thread.

5'6 is pretty short to be 200pounds i agree. lol maybe he is built like mini-hulk :D

Nahhh, I ain't no tough man super arnold buff whatever.

But I'm not your average 200lb 14 year old who is 5'6...

If I wasn't glow in the dark white, I'd post a pic. Well. That, and you'd end up gouging your eyeballs out of their sockets.

BMI works if you are of a normal build. Average muscle mainly. It's just a simple way for doctors to tell how obese obese kids really are.

Hahaaahaa...
14 stone at 5-6" is one hell of alot, even if it's muscle. Has your doctor ever commented on it?

whats ur bodyfat %

Did you actually type "ur"?

Hmmmmmm that can't be good... Can't be good at all, I know I'm pretty large but over 200 pounds at my age? Yikes..

For the record, I race mountainbikes. Not cross country. Mountaincross and downhill with freeride in there too.

I average at least 500 miles a year, and honestly, that's a super low number.

Yeah, that's me in my avatar.

Here's the full pic. I'd say 10 ft off the ground?? That jump is at least 5 ft tall. I think it's more though.

its two less letters than your. i dont want to get some type of serious injury to my fingers. then i'd have to go through all that damn therapy and surgeries and medicine to try and get healthy again. and i'd be forced to sue gtp to get money for the medical costs. all because i typed your instead of ur.:dunce:

Well I'm 5'6" and I'm 115 lbs. so I'm real skinny I guess but I don't think I look that skinny it's just I'm definately not muscular.

I'd say Standard is on the heavier side of average but not fat yet. ;)

u mean u can lift heavy things better than any other freshman? :p
what about ur cardio and muscle endurance?
you cant judge performance solely on physical appearance... i mean look at the best fighter in the world right now (Fedor).

he will pwn anybody. he looks a little chubby but its genetic. he has out wrestled, outlasted, and out smarted , knocked out, and choked out the best.

That's pretty much how I'm built.

Uhhh, I have the highest max on every lift. More than most Sophmores and some Juniors and Seniors.

No big deal. Cardio and muscle endurance?? Well, I dunno. I can do strenuous riding all day for 9 hours at Challenge Park Extreme Sports or www.cpxsports.com

Whatever, I don't want this to turn into a pissing contest.

the real test is a machine that you stand on top of. or a tank you submerge yourself in. i'm not sure about the tank one maybe i mixed it up with something else... anyways to have 10% body fat are u super ripped? like almost amateur bodybuilder level?

I've made a decision:

I'm going to get ****ing ripped, yo. Eventually, I will post pics to prove it.

backspace
I just used the test found here: http://www.healthcentral.com/cholesterol/home-body-fat-test-2774-143.html

and it says I have 10% body fat.

Here are my results:

You have 10% body fat.

You have 29 Pounds of fat and 261 Pounds of lean (muscle, bone, body water).

That seems maybe only slightly off. I'd say I have anywhere from 30-45 pounds of fat to lose. I carry everything at the latissimus dorsi and in the obliques and serratus anterior.

It says I have 9% body fat. I'm fit, but probably not that much. I do exercise and do a bit of light weight training, but I'm certainly not a bodybuilder or professional athlete :p. All I know is that I'm not fat like "average" Americans, and that's all that matters to me :D

I heard the accurate way to test body fat % is to submerge yourself and then measure the buoyancy.

I'm definately not super ripped, i'm about 5'6, 127 lbs, and fit/in shape. I measured everything they asked for give or take .25"

I may not actiually have 10% body fat like the test suggests, but I would guess that I have less then average.

You have 8% body fat.

You have 16 Pounds of fat and 184 Pounds of lean (muscle, bone, body water).

What the hell. No way.
