Hence the word "except".

To make it even more plain, to say "all stock except..." is a convenient shorthand rather than making a tedious list of all the stock settings. But you just feel free to list every setting if that makes you feel better.

I did this event ALL STOCK EXCEPT Sport Soft tires and ALL AIDS OFF EXCEPT ABS 1. I'm confident it would be easy with Sport Hard.

Or we can be logical and assume stock until otherwise written. There are only a few exceptions where not stock is actually less advantageous than true stock.

The aids part though, I doubt a consensus would be established.

Regardless, aids or no aids, most of these unrestricted races can be won with just a tire upgrade.

Well since I already had the car tuned to the max in my garage. I could only untune so much. I had no problem at all....well i'm not going to go and buy a new one just to make it more even. Screw the AI they are the enemy.

Already had a heavily modded scuderia so what i did was downgraded to sports hard tyres and all aids on 0 except abs 1 and i drive manual with ds3. was slipping and sliding until the aero kicked in around 3rd gear, caught the leader on the last lap the first time on main psn, second time on my other psn I sent the car over used the same settings and I did better by 1/2 a lap. very slippery with 666hp and sports hard but this car really shines and makes the driver look good.

I don't enter these events for a challenge, i enter to collect coin and xp and get the hell out.

Ehh, yes, that's why people add 'with racing softs' and 'except ABS'.

It's a fast way to let everyone know that no engine/suspension/gear tuning was done and that ASM/SRF etc. are all off.

Maybe "All aids except ABS off" and "only added racing tyres to an otherwise stock car" would be better, but we all get the idea, don't we?

Stock with sports softs and all aids off except ABS Oh, and as it was a car I already owned I think it had an oil change (for the purists).
Won with a comfortable lead. I don't know if it's possible on SH, but it definately should be possible on SM.

You can do this completely stock (=Sports Hard). It's a real challenge though.


ps: Is anyone NOT cutting the Variante della Roggia (=second chicane)? I think it would be difficult without cutting it, because that easily gives you 1 sec.

If you cut Roggia and entry curve to Variante Ascari in every lap, bump the Ruf on the Rettiflo on the 1st lap and use other cars to trade paints through the race - than stock is possible.

However, for 100% clean race, you need to upgrade the engine to approx. 520HP.

It's way more than a second, I was 22 seconds ahead on the last lap, cut it, and was 31 seconds ahead at the next checkpoint.

Oil change + sports softs = took the lead on the second chicane.

Then I spaced out and drove straight off the track. Twice. Ended up coming back and winning by a couple seconds. I think it would be "easily" winnable on stock tires.

Oil change, sport soft, suspension, and exhaust got me the win pretty easy with clean driving. ABS - 1, all other aids off.

I do cut Roggia, but Ascari was always in line with GTP racing rules. No bumping, but I do admit I made an oil change out of habit.

No because the Ferrari has traction control when you start the car automatically set, 99% percent of cars with traction control have it set so you can drive safely. The Scuderia and I'm pretty sure all supercars and sports cars have an option to shut off the traction control completely. Mercedes are the only odd bunch of cars with the ability to set traction control off that doesn't work 100 percent, if you shut off the traction control in most new Mercedes it wont full turn off the setting; if you watch top gear you know this Jeremy talks about it on almost every Mercedes review. Any true driver turns off all AIDS, everything especially Traction Control. They might race with ABS but thats about it, a true enthusiast wants to have to control the car by themselves with no computers to take away their foot from the engine to the road simple as that.

FOR EXAMPLE in my real car which is a 300 whp Jetta Wolfsburg 1.8t, has ASR know as Anti-Slip Regulation. ASR basically monitors my tires revolutions; if one tire spins at 100 RPM's more than any other, the brake is applied to that tire and throttle is cut down. This action is accompanied by a light near my speedo that constantly blinks. Now with ASR on, my car launches slow, and power is cut through every gear all the way up to about 130 mph. When I turn off ASR the light isn't there I have complete throttle response, I have a quick launch. Only 1st and 2nd produce the most wheel spin, 3rd and 4th chirp 5th is silent and so on. If my car didn't have the option to have ASR turned of it would be the most annoying car to drive; a true racing or driving enthusiast knows this. If you have driven a fast car or own a fast car you know this. If you play a video game and think you know what it is to drive one...you don't.

The 430s have a 5 way traction control switch on the steering wheel, whatever position that is in when the car is started is TC level it will be in. It wont start with it on unless its in the on position on the steering wheel.

seeing GT5's TCS and ABS system has nothing to do with the one Ferrari uses, I'll say no.

and you can turn the TCS completely off in the 430.
