Borrowing Cars?

I've not come across this feature?
Can anyone explain please.

You can put 6 cars "online" from your garage.
Your friends can borrow these cars, so you don't have to send cars any longer.

Go to community page, click on a friends name en see what cars you can borrow.
After you used the car, it goes automatically back to the owner.

I have a question:

When a friend borrows a car, do miles, damage (e.g. need for a chasis realignment), etc. accumulate on the car that a friend is using?

No it stays as it was when it was put up by the owner.
