Its a calibration thing, im sure its already here on the forums but you have to actually make a deadzone for the brakes in the loading screens i think

Meh, I disagree. More likely it is a malfunctioning wheel.

Your best bet is to open up the pedals and clean the contacts on the potentiometer.

An easier fix is to just swap the potentiometer from the clutch and the brake. That is what I did.

A temporary fix is to spray compressed air into the area and clean it out.

Instructions for all three options are easily found on Google.

This is a defect in the wheel and if you have recently purchased the wheel Logitech will often simply send you a replacement.

Logitech has great customer service and it's often easier than to attempt to fix the problem yourself 👍

Yes, this is the fix to this problem because I have the same problem but it's with the accelerator. If you don't want to open your pot because there are a lot of little pieces to open and they are delicate simple fix get a contact clean sprayer instead.

Can't Logitech does not produce G25 anymore and they haven't been for a long long time.

Wasn't aware they had gone out of production.

As far as I'am aware the G25 was released at 2006 and they have stopped producing it a long time ago as well as G27.

I disagree. You can tell when you pull/lift the pedal back up, the spiking goes away, but when you get back on the gas it comes back (when you let off afterwards). That's a dirty pedal!

All 3 pots can go. Most of the times it's with the throttle, but in the OP's case it's his brake (too much braking eh lol).

It's pretty much your judgment, if you want to go all out and be sure it won't happen for a long time, take it apart. If you want to fix it easily, spray some contact cleaner in the pot (in, not around it!). I usually just open my pedals up, clean the debris and spray the pots with contact cleaner. I go months at a time before I have to do it again and I don't have to risk breaking anything!

Look in the Sim Hardware section, they have all kinds of fixes for it. G25 and G27 use the same thing. Good luck!

@TwisyDrift, I tried your recommended link a long time ago and it's freaking hard to do! I wouldn't recommend that method to anyone that doesn't know what they're doing!

Yuph it's hard.

That's why I said this instead^^ In my last post.

Damn , I just re-read the post I was talking about, you're right.

You need to learn how to use commas lol,

Should be:

My bad for the confusion!

Hehe I misplaced the comma my bad :sly: I need to re read my post I usually just post it and never check it.

thanks guys, went for the easy option and took the air compressor seemed to have worked for now, thanks :)

A clean will fix it a few times, but after a while it stops becoming effective.

I stripped and cleaned my G27 brake pedal 4 or 5 times, then a few weeks ago I ended up having to swap the clutch for the brake... it's not a particularly difficult job and anyone with a modicum of ability could do it... remove the pedal faces, unscrew all the securring screws then gently remove the connectors, swap the units over and reassemble.

yeah but then the clutch would stick on or flash, wouldnt it?
Nope. Different sensitivities.

What he said. It will make no difference to the clutch if the pot starts spiking/flashing on & off, simply because the bite point of the clutch is too far down to be affected.

👍
