I really hope they just gave out the 33 number as a minimum. GT5 DLC needs to be part of the game on disc, there's no excuse for not having it on there.
What? Those two sentences don't correlate. But yeah, this seems rather clear to me:
GT5 including DLC locations has 31 locations according to PD.

PD have then said GT6 has 33 locations, 7 more than GT5. Clearly they either suck at adding up or they're not counting DLC in that 33 number and also losing another track somehow, likely merging the Eiger locations into one.
what if the excuse is it's not going to be ready for cd release day 1? delay the game, how about stop being cheap.
It sounds to me like they are counting GT5 DLC as new tracks in GT6 because we've only seen confirmation of 3 new tracks in GT6 to the best of my knowledge, which I hope is not the case![]()
Now that this temp box art mentioning Brands Hatch has been seemingly confirmed as genuine we have four confirmed tracks (Silverstone, Matterhorn, Brands, Willow) which is why we have an issue now. Spa was shown in the trailer suggesting its in the base game but it wouldn't be the first time a PD trailer was misleading.
We're just going to have to wait and see now because there isn't much else we can work out ourselves.
Which further backs up my theory that GT5 DLC tracks are classed as new tracks in GT6.
Which means I may be right but then there's the Kart Space track.
So as I work it out means either there is no Karting in GT6 or their numbers are wrong.
Like you said, we'll have to wait and see![]()
I hadn't considered that but surely it'd be odd to not include Kart Space when he originally said Karting was destined for GT6 originally but brought forward to GT5.
I just wish that PD wasn't so secretive and give us some solid facts instead of the cryptic (and sometimes misleading) clues that they give us.
In the past they would've made a track sometime in 2004 and it would go into GT4 in 2005. If they're doing what you are happy with them doing, the track would be released for $5 for GT3 and remain as paid DLC for the rest of the life of the series on that platform.
Ethics aside, this is also annoying in the current implementation because it means a segmentation of the online community for that track, and a complete lack of A-spec events using that track. I'd personally rather wait a year and get the track in the next game if given the choice between the two. Of course, there is a third option of discounting old DLC, then including it for free as part of the next game. Everyone wins - except elitists that feel everyone should pay what they paid.
Interesting indeed, did you take a picture of it?
Have they said anywhere that all the old locations would return?.
They did, yes. All cars and tracks from GT5 will return.
