For foreign viewers the ship is in the English Channel between southern England and the north coast of France, and not far from Portsmouth, home of naval special forces. Good call.

It's awful to think they're the victims of generalised stereotyping because of their accents, you'd think it's because they're shandy-swilling fish-liqeuring white-stiletto-wearing pearly-dancing oi-oi-saveloying loadsamoneys.

Sessions was a great improvisational comedian and brilliant impressionist.

I've never quite got over the fact that one of my best friends hated Stella Street so much he wouldn't even talk about it, and yet Sessions was hilarious and brilliant in that series. His turns on Whose Line Is It Anyway? were always inspired, and he ranked among the top brass of UK comedy.
