Damn Rommie, thats not good! Maybe you can find some info in the forums... if not, maybe you could backup your savegame and re-install the game files or contact Logitech?
 
I would like to join if there is room still. However, I only picked up the game again recently and I don't have any GT3 or GT1 cars yet. Not sure if i'll have them by sunday either. Anyway to get them quick?

PS Im pretty sure you are 7 hours ahead in GMT. I am in US Mountain time. So should be 12pm my time, correct? Anyone confirm this?
 
FLX: I've been testing today and after quite a few misses, I now have a good wheel setup... at least for the Murcie as I did not try any other car with it :lol:

JRayWRX: you can always buy everything...

Flesh8u: GT1 are the FASTEST cars. Only the drivers are slow. I'm betting the faster DRIVERS in GT3 class can keep up with us - slow drivers - in the FASTER cars (was I clear??? :lol:)

And out of curiosity, Is anyone doing 51/50 seconds already??? Say.. 3 laps in a row?

True, however, I don't want to give EA anymore money...I'll see how much a single car cost...

EDIT: Alright, I guess I can throw $2 at EA. I'll go with GT3.

Thats... quite a brave decision, JRay. If you can keep up with the Steves, hondys and ussrs lap times, I applaud you. If not, you ll be stone dead last... a lot. Maybe you should check autolog before shelling out 2$ on a GT3 that will not bring you much fun.

Oops, misunderstood (or misread). I thought you wanted the least experienced driving the GT3's to stay out of the way. You guys are going for equality. So, luckily I didn't buy that car yet. Put me down as GT1 then. Thanks for the heads up, but I'm probably going to be last anyway. :)

Rom i think we will be driving same car in gt1 (lambo) the only car working well wz my wheel gt27 so if i did 52 in tt i will stay in gt1 but if not i will be in gt3 lambo also hhhh nerves 
 
I'm so rusty that I'll have to work hard to keep GT3 cars behind (assuming I'll start in front :lol:) The DAMN SLOW RS-V does not help either :grumpy:
 
JRay, I d really like to see your face when you try your brand new GT1 for the first time... mine was like :drool: I think... the sounds, the RAAAWWWWRRR, the grittyness... hell yeah! But they re actually not that hard to drive. I d recommend the Maserati, Matech GT or Corvette. Those are a bit faster than the Lambo (at least the first 2) but still quite manageable. The Aston can be a lil bit b*tchy imho.

But please try to get some training before our race meeting. If you try out your GT1 car for the first time at the race, mayham will inevitably occur. Setup is also really important, see Terrinium 12s thread for that. https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=196236

Another thing you might not know yet is that Shift 2 is yuck on online collision detection, so please try to drive clean, try to be aware of others and keep a little more distance than usual. But since its your first race, nobody will rip your head off and insult your mother if you make a mistake. Hell, I caused a major pileup in the 2nd corner of my first race with these guys here (and some more since then) and I m still living to tell... :D

@ Rommie: Well nobody said you d have to live your love for italian crapmobiles! :P
 
I plan on practicing tomorrow and saturday. Not sure which car i'll go with yet.

As for online, I haven't played online yet, so its good to know about the collision detection. Any other differences between single player and online I should know about? I try to race clean, I am known to make mistakes, though.
 
I'd love to run around the track with you guys at any time! I can't promise being at each event though.

Trust me: You're aiming high. There's a tendency to crash at least once in a race (comes with the job) and that invalidates all your goals.

Try those but like 90% of race time. Its easier :lol:

Just a few points to the new guys :

* check the timezones
* please add everyone to your friends lists
* important to join the chatroom. I will send you an invite to join, just accept when you notice the message. The chatroom is important for communication before, during and after the races. It is the only way to relay any relevant changes, restarts etc. quick and easy to everyone
* clean and fair racing at all times
* to quote Carroll Smith : ' where men in motion meet, there will be collisions' be cautious see the OP. We try an avoid it as far as the game allows us to. Please ensure you are aware of your position. Move over if you have to

Looking forward to race with you guys :)

For those interested , I will host some practice races tomorrow night (Saturday 26/11) at around 7.30pm GMT . Let me know who wants to join 👍

My goal is the same as flesh8u's and try not to look like a noob. I'll be taking a slow and cautious approach as I have never played Shift 2 online. I'm looking forward to it, though. Glad to see that there is some people still playing this game!

Most of the times yes but unless I'm into record braking times I get out to main menu. Problem is it takes time...

Damn that was probably the best race I ever had... Except for the GT1 showdown with Rommie at Hockenheim maybe. Great fun and quite a good result regarding the fact I started tuning/training 1 hour before the chat invitation! :D

I have this gut feeling that this series will be quite a lot of fun...
 
Yes great racing tonight, Nice win for hondy and a great drive from FLX good clean pass mate 👍 gutted for Zee and NEWDRIVER disconnections suck. Good first run from JRay too 👍
 
driver off the night for me has to be ZEE, mate you were epic, so hard to pass i had to force the mistake to get passed, a very close 2nd best for flx, race to the flag:tup: you made me have to put in my 2nd fastest lap of the race on the last lap to get the win, jay that is the best peace of awareness i have ever seen, moving out off the way down the straight, you ot well out the way off the leading pack well done mate, i knew this championship would make for realy realy close racing, well done all guys :):):):):):):):):)

Yeah hondy I was really enjoying the race. Had to stay calm wedged between you and Steve. I was so angry geting disconnected from Autolog in lap 10. Nevermind I am pleased with the way I kept my position and did very constant laptimes.

Flx rocked tonight 👍 But hondy/ Steve in GT3 cars...what can I say :)

Good race today but for me good race until lap 10 . I hate disconecting from autolog **** .good race all as always .and welcome JAY in our good groups u did good today .the STEVE the HONDY i cant say any thing even both of you in gt3 and us in gt1 still like you r not driving different class or different gt car . very good champions ppl .FLX the fox the hunter today good finish.ZEE sorry for the race both of us bad luke today.
