What time do you need to get in order to get 1st? Closest I've got so far is a 2nd and just caught up to the 1st place guy in the last couple of turns. Got an 8'15 I think. Using the Elise Sport 190.

You need to beat 8:00. I like the lotus Elise 08 moderately tuned it handles really well I can turn a 7:30 with it.

If anyone is in need of a challenge... I dare you guys to take on the 'ring with a TVR Tuscan Speed 6. Stock. No oil change. Comfort/Soft Tires.

I couldn't do it. Who's down to try?

Oh, and by the way. I tried it with a slightly tuned Lotus Elise. Fully Custom Suspension, Comfort/Soft Tires, ECU upgrade, Sport Exhaust, Manifold, Racing Catalytic Conv. (220HP).

and a rear wing, cause the tail always kicked out. Rear wing made things much easier.

I tried and won. Also won with the caterham seven fireblade

Nooooooo am not that good. Put racing soft on the caterham but no bhp boosting upgrades
What about driver aids?
I couldn't keep this car from swapping ends. Yes it drives like a go-cart, but it's also v. sensitive to kerbs like a go-cart.

Won easily in my fully tuned Triumph Spitfire 1500 '74 on RE tires. Was catching 1st place around the carousel. Could probably do it on SS tires but would definitely be a tougher challenge.

I couldn't keep the back end on this one either.

What's an RE tyre? (don't answer that, I'm sure it was a tpyo...)

I had TC at 1 and ABS at 1. Everything else off.

Sorry cell phone got me that should have been RS (race soft) tires:p
I've got a good tune for the Spitfire up in my garage in the tuners forum.(See link below)
You still have to watch the rearend a bit, especially on SS tires, but it corners great and overall is a blast to drive.
If anyone wants to check it out send a FR on PSN (same ID) with Spitfire test or Quicksilver test in the title. I have one shared currently. Only race in the British lightweight series it gets tough to win in is London.

well no wonder you guys are having an easy time passing these. you guys are using good tires. i'm using the same tires as the competition, which makes it harder...

just to be different i done it in an mg tf i think it was 220bhp, fully lightened, sport soft

If you just want to blast it, tuned down a Mclaren f1 or an AC cobra, best I've done with the cobra was 7:09 and it's fun to drive.

I won it with an Elise at 516 PP on Comfort Soft tires. Time was an 8:02.

I took the lead on the final straight, but I can't remember the margin of win.

Ginetta G4 '64. Tuned to the hilt. Its pretty challenging.

Now there's an understatement:lol:

Haven't beaten it in my 190 BHP Spit yet - don't think it will be fast enough.

Did it in the Tuscan with adjustable sports suspension and sports soft, plus the cheap BHP upgrades -race filter, CPU, cat.

Can't remember time but only passed the lead car on the bend of the long straight (sorry don't know the names). The Tuscan was understeering like a S-o-B at high speed, and my previous lap ended there in a 160 mph bounce/spin off the barrier as it just didn't take the bend.

"pretty challenging" he says.

I tried that one a few times before i switched to my Elise 111R. That little G4, which i have used many times on less... um... stimulating tracks, is quite the little roller on those curbs. mind you, the curbs are nearly level with the rear-view mirrors on the Ginetta...
I actually put it on its side once on Klostertal. :scared:

I used a VX220 Turbo on Comfort Softs on the 'Ring. I think I used all the power upgrades except the Engine tune stages. Rear wing with max DF. A huge speed advantage on the straight bits but extremely tricky on the twisty bits, especially the sections after the Karussell. No assists except ABS1. Massive fun!

that sounds like fun. ima try it

I am currently trying with my mini Marcos, so far I have fully lightened it and fitted ecu and exhaust upgrades, but I'm still a minute of the pace! Will build up the mods bit by bit and see if it's actually possible, think on this one I may have to go for all mods AND racing Tyres to get even close.

I used the McLaren F1 added tranny suspension and set those tried to get gears set to original specs got it close I think turning low 7.ox.xxx and some sub 7's at 58.7xx

I finally got it done with the Caterham last night. Stock, Sports Soft, no aids (except ABS = 1), DS3. Was a nice challenge. Did it in an 8:01 or thereabouts. Overtook last car on the long straight. Didnt win by much though.

I've won it in my tuned evora with comfort medium tires and abs off, driving with the DS. The most fun way to earn money at the moment if you ask me.
I've tried to do it with comfort hards as well, but haven't been able to pull it off just yet.

I agree - it's a good challenge and a great way to grind some cash having fun in the process, not just drivng round in circles. I racked up 10M credits before I even noticed...
