Sakery dc'd did he?
Race 1, went really well up to a point, thanks to the lap 1 incidents I built up a 3-4 second lead straight away, then just took it easy, let the guys behind fight and I just had to slowly pull away. But then, with 2 laps to go my internet goes :( I realised the gap seemed to have got bigger all of a sudden, which was because all the cars were going straight on as I had lost the connection, at this point I needed to switch my headset off, but got to it too late and it DC'd 👎 Real shame as I had a 10 second lead and was set for the win.

Then race 2 came, which was messy for me. First off put the wrong setup on, it was way too understeery and really wore out my front tyres. Then I had a rubbish start, forgot to change into 2nd before I went because 1st doesn't get me anywhere. So straight down into 2nd, followed R35, then half way round the lap, my connection goes again. Caught it this time, got my headset off and everything returned to normal, but R35's car had pushed me wide when it went straight on, so I lost another 3 places, putting me in 5th. Managed to work my way up to 2nd again before the pitstops, and decided to try and undercut R35 who at this point was 5 seconds in the lead. It almost worked, he came out right infront of me. But in the draft my tyres shredded, not helped by the setup, so by the end of the 2nd stint I was 7 seconds down, again tried to undercut R35, and again, no idea how, he came out right infront of me. Same thing happened as the 2nd stint so with 2 laps to go, R35 was sure to have the win being 4 seconds infront. Then on lap 22, coming over the sector 1 line he lost the back end and I was right on the back of him, then coming out of the hairpin and he spun again giving me a 2.5 second lead :D Then on the run down to the line on lap 22 he run wide into the gravel, giving me a 6 second lap with which to cruise back to the finish with :) Overall I think I just managed to salvage a reasonable result after the 1st race DC.

Looking to the future what is it exactly you hate about the Ford Ak?? Other than the dominant Audi i remember it being a firm favourite in S2.:indiff:

Only seen this now, but I just don't like the sort of floaty handling and the lack of feedback to oversteer and tyre wear on it, just a personal thing really, if it were Season 2 I would take the Audi, because it handles nicer(still would have done barely enough testing to realize)

I'm sure it's a very competitive car it's just I hate it.:p
 
Just for some idea of a benchmark, i set a 1.02.9 pre season at HSR (probs faster cant remember)
 
I think you did a 1.02.4 but that could have been with draft :) Ill set a time in a bit.

EDIT: Just did a 1.02.8, but hadn't changed the oil, was still on 602bhp, but was down 3 torque which makes a difference in the straight line :) Also was going a good 3mph faster around the last corner but then I DC'd :( Could have knocked another 0.2 off otherwise.

Sakery didnt DC, saw the number of people racing go down waay before he quit. He does this all the time, which I dont get, maybe he has a valid reason, I dont know.
 
couldnt have been spurg as i was leading all of the time, and i think he (kingy) dc'd as when you dc it doesnt show your leaving message
 
No, we did two races, it was in the first race we did at HSR where you got the 1.02.4 I think, the one I didn't DC from :) Either way we'll find out when you do some testing :D

Just been doing a little boogie round HSR 1:02.7xx is my fastest so far. Can't see myself going any faster than that.
 
It's all about how much speed you can take around the corners, and how wide you can go in the banked ones without hitting the wall. Obviously my lack of straight line speed puts me at a slight disadvantage :(

What is the best line for the banked corner before the bridge. I brake then try to clip apex while getting on the gas and let it run wide but not enough to hit barrier. But is it faster to run round outside of bend. :confused:
 
Yep, go around the outside, I can hold 135mph using the outside line :) And aim for around 139 for the 2nd one.
 
Although I would love to race at HSR (mid 1:02´s for me here) I will refuse to race in this series.
Our thoughts of clean and fair racing drifted apart.

Sprint was fun till Toffe thought it was cool to ramm me all the time and trying to dirty-set-up a pass (example: Tapping me at Degner 1
=> me on dirt he waits for recovery and tries to pass me at the hairpin ?? I had dirty tires
=> couldn´t accel the way I wanted out of degner 2).
He did this almost every lap and almost every Corner. And finally he was the reason why Cunny passed us two.
I only did one dirty move but he was brakeing a Barrier. I´m thick skinned but he crossed the line too often !!

I must admit I am pi$$ed and was in the feature.
And I thought it will get better due to Toffe beeing infront of me. Start went great but the same BS which freaked me during the Sprint occured again.

Come on !!
Finally When I was behind Neljack (we had a fair Battle me think, although I tapped you a little in one of the laps) Syjones Bombed me into T1 which sent me off.
I could have raced on but he didn´t wait => I stopped.

======> I withdraw from this Series due to the different Opinions of fair Racing.

Sorry for Spurgy but above wheighs too big for me. Hope you still claim the Drivers-Championship. *Thumbs crossed*

Sorry to Gedi for leaving this way but a few peeps changed their D-Style to a level I refuse to race with.


2nd Competition from our Team is still active => pm´s to me if you want a California in a colour of your choice (including DLC)

Nooooooo Sakery :( Whoever picked on Sakery shall be killed :grumpy: Don't have the 1st replay, but am looking at the 2nd one now :) And if what you said about Toffe is true then that's quite poor driving 👎 Will also be looking at the what sound like silly moves.
 
HSR is my last hope for a win :S so be very afraid, the brick shall stop for no man! :sly:
 
First one with JB, bit silly but no real harm done. 2nd one I think Sy should have waited, was way too late on the brakes. I wouldn't have given up just on that, but I didn't see how bad race 1 was though so may have been justified :(
