It will but Tuesday is the update. May make slipstreame a bit stronger and the top speeds of the cars slightly slower. Ride height dynamics are being changed too.

•Now possible to select “Disable collisions” in the [Event Settings] of online races.
•ID’s are now shown above cars when watching online races.
•Response of the clutch pedal when using the steering wheel controllers “G25 Racing Wheel”, “G27 Racing Wheel”, “T500RS” and “TH8RS” has been adjusted.
•Rate of tire wear in endurance races has been slowed (excluding formula cars).
•Amount of air resistance change when altering aerodynamic wing settings has been increased.
•Autopilot has been adjusted to prevent colliding with the wall when exiting the pit lane on the Tsukuba circuit.
•Adjusted the changes in control characteristic when altering vehicle height from standard height. (Vehicle height can be changed by adjusting ride height, either by installing a suspension kit or adjusting a full customizable suspension kit.)

This JB in the news section along with 3 new cars :D. I bolded the bits I think are relevant to online racing.

Who knows... I do think the ride height thing where jacking up the front and slamming down the rear to get oversteer will be fixed.

So new setups required then?

Maybe not so much for Rwds but I may need to re think my FF and 4wd tunes that use the ride height trick... (But then even in some understeery Rwds I do it too)

JB you don't use that trick do you :p?

I think everyone does mate dont they? Wont know what to trust now then!:lol:

Yeah, jacked up front and a low rear is the first thing I do tuning a car, literally to the max, and then downscale it if it's an FR, but for an FF it's usually good like that unless it's a hilly, cambered track.

I seriously hope the tyre wear part applies to the online, I can't see them having a separate thing for just the offline portion, this is probably going to change tyre physics again though. Lets hope for better, not worse.:D

And the aero stuff is you will probably have to lower downforce, would love that.

Last time they did summink like this it made the Audi season worse than it already was practically finished it off infact:ouch: hope the same dosent apply this mid season.:nervous:

When they made the tyre wear real short on Softs?

I don't think that made it much worse, I remember me and you had a great race at Autumn Ring because I was only a couple of tenths a lap slower then the fastest setup I could get on a super-tyre saver, and did a stop less than you, and you won on like the last lap.:D

Yeah true enough:drool: Was more the timing i was getting at smack bang in the middle of the season.:indiff:
Carb moaning springs to mind.

All I can say is if it does have a major effect then we (haven't asked jb but I know your agree) should postpone V-Spec so we can all adjust.

Thoughts chaps??

I say suck it up and deal with it :p we will all be in the same boat and you will just have to tweak things and see if it improves the handling like usual. Only difference is it might not do what you think it will, bit still doesn't change how you make tunes, for me at least.

It shouldn't have too big an effect, at most I'd say it's better lasting tyres(May warrent a switch to Mediums for the 1/2 stop strategies to continue), less aero needed, and a switch-around of the suspension settings, literally from left to right.

And to be honest I don't think all of that would make it in.

Spurgy I did say MAJOR EFFECT

Spurgy I did say MAJOR EFECT

I know, if it makes all current setups useless, we will still be in the same boat and we will just have to guess and try a few different things which is what I sort of do anyway, don't know what you guys do. :)

Ask you.:nervous:

If and when the changes happen would be handy if you could explain what you think has changed dont expect anymore than that.:)

Best part is once Spurgy finds out I get the benifit :D. Btw do you have a TM setup yet? :p

That bit looks handy. It would save all the debating about whether a pass was too hefty or not 👍

The sorely missed online of GRID was epic because of that setting

That will only be usefull in people doing top speed tests etc using draft trains and such, I can see the Youtube videos of the X2011 going 1000mph+ now .

Or doing old GRID style Cols off racing .

I'll try and tell you what's different, but the way I do my setups is chuck a basic half decent setup on, then make some numbers higher or lower and then see if I go faster. But I will let you know if the ride height trick still works :)

Cool personally im fairly comfortable with setting things up, actually found a belter for TM:drool: Just be nice to know what way round things are after the update das all really.👍

Got down to a 1.23.881 with a 1.23.6 possible but I kept making at least 1 mistake each lap so I gave up trying to do it :)
