BTW just wanted to say that it's awesome how this series, unlike some others I've been in, is still healthy and well.

And I'm coming!!!! Now hopefully equipped with a better setup. :p

Shux thanks Carb:cheers: Bitter penguin needs cheering up.:nervous:

👍

I'll probably show up with the whole car-park. Did a quick test with all of them yesterday, and there's 2 early favourites I have.

Interestingly I had a spread of 1.6 seconds between the cars. (@Suzuka)

ps: These cars are torque-monsters!

Which 2 were they?

Really 1.6secs:crazy: Even with the new specs.

Just noticed its Suzuka i would imagine the toads might be a little off there with the lack of a big straight possibly.💡

Oh and welcome Sumo!!

I'm liking the Ford GT and the Mercedes SLS so far.

Bear in mind please this is very early (not even 10 laps each) and hugely depending on the setup I used. (although I hardly ever found more than a second just from setup alone)

2 good cars there mate, no worries about times as its early days.

Sarthe the toads will rule!:sly::scared: Remember the new Quali system will mean single lap pace wont be quite so important.;)

What Suzuka times you hitting?

A couple of quick runs has me leaning towards the Ford. Still not made the final decision though.

Fords already had one bhp chop theres nothing to say it or any of the other cars wont recieve similar before race 1 kicks off. No VW too quick here if we can help it.👍

Uh, good question. I've written it down somewhere, but I won't be near my notes until tonight.

From what I remember I did between low 2:02 and high 2:03 with my limited effort. I basically drove each car with a setup from some tuners on GTP here until I had at least what I considered to be one decent lap. (usually around lap 5)

As far as I remember the order was...

Ford GT
Mercedes SLS
Ferrari California
Ferrari 458
Corvette Z06
Corvette ZR1
Viper ACR

I had chosen Suzuka specifically, because it brings out the handling characteristics.

If you'd like to run a specific testing program tonight to get meaningful results for the balancing of cars, I'd definitely be up for that. As I understand the specs are not yet final(?). With only hp and weight restrictions, it should be pretty much straight forward with a good testing plan to come to a good balance of performance.

Usually one would take one slow, one medium and one fast track for testing, but there's only one really slow track (Monaco), so I think 1 or 2 medium and fast tracks should do for testing.

Suggestion:
Medium: Suzuka/Nürburgring GP/F
Fast: Monza or La Sarthe

The other tracks have specific sections, but no overall "type", so characteristics wouldn't come out as clear as on those.

Yay for new season! Thought I would do a little review of the tracks like Carbonox did (since I hardly ever say what I think about the tracks)...

1. Tokyo Reverse 👎
2. Spa 👍👍👍
3. Indy Road 👎👎
4. Grand Valley Speedway 👍
5. Le Sarthe (2005 no chicane) 👍👍👍
6. Suzuka 👍👍👍
7. Fuji F 👍👍👍
8. Monza 👍
9. Monaco 👍👍👍
10. Nurb GP/F 👍

Most are 3 thumbs up which is good :D I will use the Ferrari 458 italia this season if it's okay. Will decide colour later...

Tokyo reverse will grow on you Toffe it has me:) We've done a season already with these cars Snow so i doubt they need alot in the spec department tbh a tweek here and there perhaps but nothing much. Theres obviously going to be stronger tracks for each of the cars not too much we can do about that i guess:guilty: If we notice anything drastic at the "Test Nights" (Haitch in the Ford) for example we will go away re test and act on it were necessary this continues from week to week. I would like to add im faster with 3 different cars when it comes to Monza Fuji F and Tokyo Rev for example, im pretty confident the setups are all half decent (talent allowing). As i stress again single lap pace aslong as it isnt huge remains a minor issue its all about race pace which we continue to try and nail down.👍
Any data you find though Snow is always useful so please send it through to us to look at, sure dosent do any harm for us to checkout.💡

I'm sure you have lots more experience with these specs than I do, so I definitely have some catching up to do. It could well be that I just haven't tapped into some of the cars' potential.

I'll be happy to share my findings with you as we test.

Top man:tup: There must be something in what you just said everyone was struggling to hang with the Viper once a setup was found and i see you found it the slowest.:scared::)

Oh and nobody liked the Ford!!!

And now the 458 is apparently quick I can't get a handle on it at all :yuck:

Right, well I (and maybe a few others) think I don't want to see this track on the schedule. I mean, how can there be clean racing with a first corner like that? And the start/finish "straight"? Everything about Tokyo is better in normal than reverse, amen to that. Reverse will never fit supercars like these...

Now thats a glitch. All pre-race info, countdown, driver list, all on screen but car ok to drive?

I'll be looking for a teammate now that I'm convinced I wanna race the whole season :O

You may have noticed me in an MP4-12c last race. I think it should be on the list of cars.

Sorry for my fleeting presence tonight - the break became dinner, which became running errands.
