Joined had 4 laps testing (while avoiding Basham doing donuts on the start/finish line), race was started and black screen was all I got so went to play online instead

Hey guys, just wanted to pop in and say good luck all on tonights race. So many points up for grabs. I cant believe im missing out. :(
 
I honestly hate this track :@ And since I got clarkson syndrom I'm burning tyres for no obvious reason. Looks like I will not be in top 3 this race -.-

That my friends may have been only 6th for me, but a great strategical victory. :) In fact I think that was my best ever race.
 
Good racing tonight, few bumps and shoves that need ironing out but alround a good night

I saw the unlucky Unclebob and Gedi collision and had to dive inbetween you both but the person I most feel sorry for is Jhodes and his pit stop...Dont worry bud I saw it all
 
My strategy explained:

Race 1 I saw 1.42-1.43 was possible, with by the end of 11 laps 1:46's downwards. On average the drop-off was 1-2 seconds with 8 or 9 laps on tires, and larger drop-off's afterwards. So Race 2 I pitted lap 8, as the drop-off began. Now the fact I was faster can be proved by me being behind gedi as I pitted lap 8, but I was around 10 seconds clear when you had had your pit stop.

I then decided to do two 7-lap stints, in theory always with my tyres hitting their sweet spot just before the end of each stint. When I pitted, I noticed you guys beginning to gain on me, but I just put my foot down to the tune of 1:43's, and waited for you on 11 lap old tyres to run each other off the road. Sure enough it happened and I was able to pick several places up as a result, as I was on only 7 lap old tyres.

Surely I gotta get the ambitious strategy award :lol:
 
Tweeked my M3 turned it into a wheel barrow need to learn to leave things alone!! Oh well roll on next week.:ouch:
 
My Camaro was on rails tonight. Very kind to its tyres, and very neutral in its handling

Pole and two wins. My best ever results in olr :D

I did have a bit of luck in race 2, seeing all the gaps early and managing to get to the
front without incident
 
Had a quick look at replay, it was a lag issue with me and gedi start of race 2. Which put me last again so changed strategy to try and make first set of tyres last longer. Think i may have managed a 1.46 on lap 12 and pitted lap 13. May have picked up a podium if it was not for some impatience at a couple of corners.

We did a 3 lap race afterwards just there and the tyre wear wasn't noticeble on the little icon so hopefully this place is kind to tyres. Certainly not kind to suspension though.:lol:

Will get testing asap mate with my old set up!! hopefully we can leave the laps as they are will see whatever the lap count we need to close that gap on RP's batmobile and quickly could be a Seb Vettel champ otherwise well done

Yup a few people need to come off the gas in cnrs and stick with a line round it rather then flooring it and bouncing the person holding his line on the outside into the barrier

p.s just because theres a slight gap on the inside of a cnr while 2 ppl are holding their line around it to avoid a collision doesnt mean you have to dive into that gap slamming 1 into the other 🤬
 
Another reason I two-stopped - I wouldn;t be a pinball come end of race. :sly:

Impatience only hurt myself. One of the times me and gedi side by side up straight me on inside. Because my tyres were newer thought i could brake little later. Think i was only 5metres late. But that is as well being 20metres late.

I managed an epic Race 2 round the outside of gedi pass at turn 1 tyres smoking... it would be a good photo.
 
Bad 2nd race for me. Managed to cause havoc on 1st lap by crashing into barrier which i apologise for. This put we right at the back. I then managed to claw my way back up to 4th and was closing in on front 3, think i was 2 seconds behind leader and then on the 18th made a right mess and got stuck in barrier. After that i just made more mistakes trying to catch up again

@culkin hope you weren't refering to me about driving, as i thought we had some good battles! If you are on outside it is easier to hold your line, if you on inside line its hard not to run out wide espcially on a tight track like tokyo.
