Weren't we all hitting walls and each other on 11 lap old tyres? Check the replay. No way was that on purpose.! 👎 :grumpy:

Agree with both points:D:D,as for Jack its simple hes a ledgend in his own right fairplay to the guy.Come season 2 with perhaps a different car not sure the Masa is the best:sick: it may be his turn to shine.👍👍

Didnt say it was Furi only mentioned it because its cropt up in discussion wouldnt have mentioned it otherwise at the end of the day my setup was pants so was my pace ive no issues only myself to blame.:dunce:

No ones saying you are bro from a personal point of view i was in the wrong place at the wrong time in both races as it goes!! but thats racing sometimes we move on.👍
 
So many driver incidents due to tyre wear it appears my proposal for season 2 (yes i know its a bit early!!) is we have 3 races. 2 sprint races of say 8 laps with the 3rd pitstop race 17/18 laps depending on the track, tyre wear will still come into play just not on such a major level as it appears right now. (unless your name is racerpaul offcourse);) We continue to learn things about these beasts and hope to implement these findings into season 2 to make it even better than it is already.👍👍:)👍👍

Before i forget 69 suggested Teammates could play a part next season.;)

By the way for what its worth we planned teams/constructors originally but couldnt fill the Dodge/Merc slots at the time so had to change the format, i thank you.:p

Still early to talk abuot season 2 dont you think lads? hehe.

Anyway, what did anyone expect during the last round? I wasn't there, but i was sure things would heat up with no run off and the season heating up. It's just part of racing in my view.

Anyway, next race...Trial Mountain? Another track with lots of elevation. Will Deep Forest have a partner in crime?

Personally i think maybe shorten the sprint to around 10 laps which stops everyone being on tyre limit on last couple of laps. However i would extend the 2nd race by about 3 laps which would mean pit stop stratergy would play a bigger part. At the moment everyone pits once and uses softs as this is the only way to win the race. The extra few laps would mean more people would consider two stop or possible running different compound tyre, this would make second race more interesting. This may alter for different tracks though.

This works for me. Maybe a poll or something nearer end of season 1. But in the end it's up to Gik and johnboy , who if i may say have got a good friendly series running.

Just had a quick 1/2 test :scared: I need a lot of practice for this one. Fastest was a 1.27.1 and that was on the ragged edge. Don't know where to start me or setup. May have to run a few laps with driving line on that's how bad it looks.


Hancock there's a guy who does most of the track nights at our only real track here in Scotland, who has a Nissan 350 convertible. The amount of money he must have spent on the car he prob could have bought a 1 or 2 year old M3.

Yeah all good stuff 1st race sprint should be worked depending on each track 10 looks comfortable for TM, as for race 2 suggestion yep i like it Furi proved that a 2 stop strategy can be beneficial he made up a few places on the last couple of laps last night which was interesting to see. Will do some testing and chat with 69 dont be suprised if TM race 2 we have a 26/27 lapper sounds good.👍

How many laps did you put together Stu??
 
Think it was about 3 6 or 7 lap stints. Under steer was bad at first part of lap and over steer near the end of lap. Never been good at this track. On a side note are the yellow hatching's part of the track. Can you go 4 wheels over them lap after lap.

They're generally considered as the track as it's not an extension of the grass like the concrete at Deep Forest for example. The AI also go over the yellow bits as well so I would consider it track.

I would say yes mate yellow hatchings are fine. Just done some testing 10 laps for race 1 is comfortable enough, as for race 2 ive found 26 laps is a good balance between risking the 1 stop:scared: or going for safety with 2:) and hoping to go Furi style and catch up in the later laps. So to round up RACE 1~10 laps RACE 2~26 laps this still needs passing via my co host ofcourse but if he dosent object thats what were settling at goodluck boys.

Thanks :) Race 1 from pole I just got away and got on with keeping it steady and being kind to the tyres

Race 2. Well as I've said before, I did have some luck at the beginning avoiding the bumps and bangs

As for Trial Mountain. It's always been a favourite of mine, but anything can happen in a race so I'm not
assuming a good result there just because I did well in Tokyo
