All this talk of haircuts. I might just get mine cut into the shape of a helmet. (Like Dora the explorer.)

Just completely destroyed john in rain practice.

Then he went to bed and I realised I had default suspension settings.

Must...practice. As you can probably tell, as it seems like every week, I haven't turned a wheel at Suzuka yet.

Practice is for the weak. Crank the Maiden, grab your car by the throat and show it who's the boss.

Or do 400 laps comparing your splits and noticing your tyre wear and watching replays to see where you lost that 2 tents of a second. Then checking the data logger etc.

Maiden!!!!!

Im up for some practice with you if you want tomorow.

If anyone's doing rainy practice today, let me know when so I can join please? 👍

I will be doing some more Rp like Haitch says he pretty much kicked my butt in the rain ive had to switch to automatic gears for the Lexus its impossible otherwise imo:crazy: Cough cough i do believe i pinched the last race Mr Haitch once i started to get me eye in:sick: All very new to me sir will admit i did run off to bed whilst i was ahead Camaro looks a dream all round here:sly:

I will be out this morning so if anyone wants a practice/set lap im available this afternoon.👍

Racerpaul Cunny17 and even the convict if available can always witness your laps if this morning suits.

Rain practice settings incase you missed it. 75% ~ 5 ~ 30%

One things for sure we are all going to need to be a little understanding here some unfortunate contact is probably inevitable.:scared:

SailIC hopfully we will have another chat later

Andy, Mills often heads out the odd random present embrace his generosity you can always plonk the tyres on your new speed machine when you get it that 1.2 beast will love the extra grip!!

@JB: Never switch in the rain to auto gears. All you get is even more wheelspin. Shortshifting is the key and the Lexus is perfect for this due to the amount of Gears it has.

Just a small Tip.
My prediction was way off. Again I´m missing some BHP on the main straight and after the spoon-corner.
2:00´s where my best which is anoying because last season I could do a 1:59low with the Maserati and the Camaro IS faster. It looses again at the straightline section.
But for the Rain race I´m confident to perform better than in dry conditions.
I like rain and the lower power helps me too.
But I want to be in D1
=> I´ll test some more

John after changing my suspension to a setup I like after realising I had default one on car good luck in beating me again :D

Oh and

Everyone get to track ASAP after track reset on monday as the weather changes while you are in lounge

Oh and are you doing what I think you are and giving winners success ballast? Not a big fan of success balast personally.

I think JK2 is planning on knocking some bhp off to give himself something to do its just as dull for him being out front as it is for the rest of us trying to keep up although with Tony in theres a battle of the aliens to be had:scared: The rest of us can battle for the mortals championship so in all honesty JK2 unless yourself and Tony wish to handicap yourselves equally (goodluck your in different cars:yuck:) I would say leave your car alone my freind things will simply get far to complicated otherwise, im sure Tony wouldnt enjoy beating a car thats not 100% what it should be nor would the rest of us toads/mortals in trying to make it respectable.👍

Oh and King maybe you have a point if i get more time to practice in the rain maybe i will switch back to manual i just found it so much easier with 2 hands on the wheel!! I will keep making the excuse rains totally alien to me (not alien pace wise!!) this is the first and only time ive attempted it its fun all the same.

Quali/Rain practice lounge open for an hour or so

Good practice session in the wet earlier guys 👍 It is going to be an interesting race that's for sure! Qualy could have gone better. Put a reasonable banker in as my first lap, which turned out to be my best lap, as I messed up at turn 1 on my 2nd lap :( still not to bad, my average has been mid to low 1.59's with the occasional high 1.58.

Not done any wet testing yet, is it inters or full wets thats best. I take it 30% water is to much to try slicks.:dunce:

^ Find out yourself :D

I want it to be 100% rain and track water  I am apparently on rails in that.

Am I the only one who thinks that this new Qualifying system isn't working?

Err yes Tom everyone loves it why whats ya beef dude?:grumpy:

Stu inters seem to be good under 50/60% suface water anything over that you are looking at full wets mate.

Day and a half to go!

That, coincidentally is the problem that I have. There's only 1 and 1/2 days left to post a time, those who do not have the time available to complete the lap-time during the week are put at a major disadvantage. I feel that the 20 minutes that we had was a much better option as everybody could put a time in. There are still 10 or 11 people yet to post a time with this short amount of time left, and I can guarantee that not everyone will post a time because of either a lack of spare time or sheer laziness. The old system was much better.

Personally I love the new system! Not sure why you wouldn't have enough time to qualify, you have 6 days! You will always have people qualifying at last minute as it gives you more time to practice plus you get an idea of what times you need to aim for.

Hmmm well you's are in the minority here me old mate you mean you couldnt find 20 minutes in the week between races to practice then another 10 minutes to set a lap?? Laziness we cant do alot about but spare time??:indiff: Half hour is really to much to ask??:dunce::confused:

Just did my quali, witnessed by RP a 1.59.000, no just kidding a 2.00.681. Messed up second lap 👎

have you tried sports soft? Someone mentioned they were good in the wet.

They're slower then Racing Soft in the dry, and Racing Wets in the wet, but they might be good to do a one-stop instead of two with Wets -> Inters -> Softs.

Also, if it's getting dry near the end, Racing Mediums might be the best option to go if it's just out of reach of a stint on softs.👍

I haven't a clue on my strategy for endurance apart from try and stay on track and hope everyone else comes off!!
