So close to a double tonight but kk had the pace , I guess after he gave away race 1 there was no way he could of gave me race 2 .

Two 3rds is good - made a mistake on lap10 nearly losing it but held the car together. Wasn't fighting too hard in r2, KK and Skeng were super close and didnt want to crash out or lose out on points.

Congrats to Kk and Skeng on the wins/podiums.👍

I was right behind you when it happened.:lol: If I was right behind you two I could of probably got 2nd, but didn't want to cause/be involved in an incident, wasn't worth risking it - podiums good enough for me.👍

Had to work hard for my 4th in Race 2. Race 1 I was 4th as well but it was a poor race for me with some silly crashes.

Rolo I assume thought Gedi was joking at him not being a guy by not calling him a "chap". Hence why he thought what he did.. Woulda been funnier if you played along.. Damn :lol:.

Also, following on from the discussions last night, I don't believe success ballast will work. What if a driver with a 1200kg car lowers its weight to 1050kg when tuning, then uses 150kg ballast to bring it up to weight? If he gets 100kg ballast for the best performance on a raceday, meaning his car should in theory be 1300kg, he can only make it 1250kg. You could specify which weight parts are allowed, but wouldn't all the possibilities get rather complicated?

Season 5 will also be the final season of BTCC in its current form. It will also be a shorter season, at only 8 weeks. After that it's smaller 3 to 5 round mini-series and one-make cups.

I'm also thinking of scrapping the Independents' Championship in order to try and encourage more teams to take part.

  1. Ford Focus ST '06/ST170 '03 (305hp, 1200kg)
  2. BMW 330i '05 (305hp, 1400kg)
  3. Honda Civic Type R '01/'04 (305hp, 1200kg)
  4. Renault Clio 2.0 16V '02 (305hp, 1100kg)

The next car:

BMW 120i '04 (305hp, 1350kg)

Handling much more like an FF car. Much less twitchy at the rear than the 330i.

Guys, serious question.

Do you think this season should be shortened to 8 weeks? That would mean there are only 2 rounds left. If so, which 2 tracks should go?

Me and skeng have plans for the future that essentially mean Season 5 won't happen at all, but the new cars will still be used in some capacity under the BTCC name (and there will be a new one-make series).

My motivation for this format is plummeting at the moment, and I don't believe that grids will hold up if it carries on unchanged. Next season might start off full like this one did, but by the halfway stage grids are still nearly halving, and will probably do so again.

What do you think?
 
If you guys do choose to shorten it then i'd like to see laguna eca nad Spa as the two remaining tracks.

I have tried to make it every week, but sometimes other more important stuff gets in the way.

not asking for a formal investigation but can R1 early accident been looked into? not going to ask for any penalties or anything just wiould like to know what happened to me.

ok no rush i'm not asling for penalties since they might be a hinder to those fighting for the championship or teams... i'm an indipendent and so far away to anything worth fighting for that i would hate troubling someone that races for a title.

after all i'm so very slow with this car that i can somehow understand someone ramming into me :D

i think we banned the 120i for being way too fast in all situation on one of the preceding BTCC championships, but my memory might fail me :O

It has been a good move - grids were smaller last season and I suppose if it weren't for some people having unfortunate last- minute changes in circumstances, we would have had 12 or 13 these past couple of weeks.

Seems Indy Road isn't popular, so I could drop that. I could put on a test meeting there for the new cars instead of a race.

The 120d is indeed the one which is too quick.
 
Indy Road Course is off the schedule.

Corsa Cup now 3 rounds, over the next 3 weeks.

No more circuits will be dropped so this season will continue, being 9 rounds in total, leaving 3 rounds left!

Spa is no longer an endurance race. That idea will be taken forward to one of the new series that will happen in the future.

BTCC as we know it will take a break for a while, and in the mean-time there will be a new BTCC one-make championship that will hopefully keep everyone entertained and competitive for a whole season. :)

BTCC in its usual form will be taking a break, not closing down for good. A Season 5 is still in the pipeline somewhere, just not sure where yet. Probably after this new series.

They're the same car with different badges on, so essentially it's a one-make championship.
