I can see clearly now... ;)

I can feel some shouting and arguments that are going to commence...

They can be kept private then.. none of that stuff in here please.

The PM's are gonna go crazy now.

Which steward is looking into the Canyon/Andy incident, or taking charge of it? It would be easier if the PM's went to one steward and then it could be took from there.

Don't worry, it's not on GTPlanet (as Andy is banned).

We're all looking into it, but as I'm the one with the Team Connection - I shall be dealing with Andy mainly...

Yeah, your team connection makes it more difficult for you Jason. :(

I'll pm someone with my 2-cents tomorrow.

Indeed, but that doesn't stop me from laying down the law..

Karsten, Mo & Andy probably have the strictest team boss ever to be found in BTCC

By the way guys to try and lighten the mood, I'm now re-recruiting for stream tuning after the break up few days ago. Its not much we mainly focus on nurburgring, sarthe, ssrx and just a few more things. We have inter-team challenges, we help each other with base setups, and just mess about some days. There is no entry cost and i will let you know events and what not. Only 2 rules 1) no harsh behaviour to fellow streamers, 2) wear a seatbelt. Pm me if your interested.

I'm in :-D

On a slightly happier note, I was reasonably pleased with my performance with the wheel. It's the first time I have used one and from what people have been telling me, 4 days of practice isn't enough and it should take me at least a couple of weeks. So on that basis, I was chuffed.

If anyone can give me any tips I'd very much appreciate it. My current settings are: simulation, FFB 5 and power steering is off.

I've started to notice an improvement in braking and throttle control which is what I was hoping for. My biggest issue is dealing with the deadzone and learning how to recover quickly from any errors.

The Sim/Pro/Am settings aren't relevant for the G27 or any of the other modern 900+ degree wheels. They're all locked to Simulation by default. The Pro and Am settings are only for the older wheels like Driving Force EX/Pro etc so you can ignore that.

Power steering off is good. FFB is preference. Play around with it but I prefer it max. and even then I wish it was stronger. No tips, just practice. And make sure you keep the receipt! They're not the most reliable things in the world. Mine is only 9 months old and the acc pedal has been sticking for a couple of months now. Was doing it last night in Race 1. Makes it so hard to the get the nose turned in, although it's preferable to the brake sticking :grumpy:

I have never used one myself but people have recommended if i do get one to have high sensitivity on the wheel because it wont turn till atleast 20degrees-ish

Thanks Rob. :)

I tried the FFB on 10, I could drive it fine but if I got the car a bit out of shape I felt like my wrists were going to snap. FFB on 1 was a joke, I did 2 laps crashed out a few times and finally rage quit m own lobby.

I've heard all about the pots getting dusty and sticking which is not good. I've got the wheel mounted to a Wheelstand Pro which is foldable, so I store it hung up in the hoover cupboard with a little cover over the pedals in an attempt to help.

At the moment I'm using the paddle's to shift gear. I can use the H shifter, but the paddle's are probably more reliable because I can't get a bad shift and get stuck in neutral.

Much more practice is required, being able to hold/correct a slide is going to take time, but I've done okay with what time I've had so far.

Yeah I don't bother with the clutch. It's a bit of a gimmick really and because it's just a spring it feels nothing like an actual clutch. Sometimes I use the H patt without the clutch but on downshifts it jolts the transmission and can make the back kick out if turning. With the paddles you get a smooth downshift almost like a slipper clutch on a bike. Plus I prefer to left foot brake so I have nothing left to push the clutch with.

Have you mapped the buttons for the RA menu and look left, look right etc.

I've started left foot braking too, which although odd to begin with, it's very handy. :)

The RA menu has been mapped, but the look left/right isn't at the moment. When I had the look left/right mapped on the DS3, everytime I used that feature it made me veer off my line slightly and therefore I grew a hatred for it and removed it. I suppose it's easier on a wheel so I may try that again.

My brake has been sticking its so annoying

Left foot braking the way to go

Can you clean the pot with an air duster can?

Can you clean the pot with an air duster can?
I can and do. And I even suck them out with Henry now and again. I'm not convinced it's dust. It happens mainly after long periods of full throttle. Last night was mainly turn 1 and the backside chicane. Made me nervous because I didn't know what car I would have each lap. The normal one, or the throttle trailing understeery one that doesn't want to turn.

When we get a quiet spell i might send them off to get looked at.

Clean the pot? With an air duster can? How you gonna use the pot if you just blown it around the room with a air can? ;)

Hmm, perhaps some contact cleaner then, but make sure that it dries fully otherwise it'll be a dust magnet.

That's a nigtmare if you don't know whether the throttle will stick or not. 👎

:odd: You're an odd fella. 👍

I have raced against this one guy who makes me laugh...between races, in the background I can hear something that sounds exactly like a bong.
