I've used the site almost constantly throughout the week and have not experienced any problems. All pages have loaded reliably and instantly.

Being home sick Monday and Tuesday, I pretty much lived here and it was Rock solid on both the laptop and iPad. đź‘Ť

Is it normal that I have to refresh the page all the time? If I don't, nothing happens, no new alerts are showed etc... .

Same here. Not lots but worse than before. Running ping and trace to gtplanet.net shows a couple more time outs and some higher pings.
 
To all of you who have been having problems with packet loss and slow pages over the past few days: please keep an eye on how the site performs for you now and let me know if you see any changes or improvement.

Firts thing I did when I opened GTP today. I'm "watching" that thread and got an alert.

Has been solid since last night's maintenance.
 
I have no idea how you do it. I believe that other sites get closed for maintenance or change of server and you keep GTP running without shutting it down like other sites.

How do they say this: Kudos for you @Jordan :cheers:




I'm taking away one kudo. GTP seems to be buggy again. Same problems as before.

The site is slow for me too. I have to click the same thing a couple of times just to load completely.
 
Hi Jordan,

Been having troubles today as well. Tried several times to log in before it let me, tried to open Site Support page, and it showed "Page cannot be displayed" 3 times before I clicked on last post to get in that way. Tried to look in Music forum, and it came up like this...

I am using Windows 7 Ultimate, IE 11 with latest updates (as far as I am aware) if this helps.
EDIT: Just remembered I had a very recent update for Adobe Flash 12 iirc.

Also been having trouble the last half an hour (6-6:30pm GMT) with the site connectivity dropping in and out, pages half loading etc. Browsing other websites at the time have been OK, I'm on Firefox 27.
 
I've been having slow loading times for at least a week. Having to press reply, like, page number, alerts, and refresh the page numerous times.

Hopefully it's fixed soon. *Fingers crossed*
 
This is very confusing - pages are loading instantly for me and I still can't find any indications of a problem anywhere in the infrastructure.

I suspect there is some type of problem in the host datacenter's network, so the only remaining option is to gather as much data as we can for me to present it to their support engineers. If you haven't already, please open a command prompt or terminal on your computer, and type ping -n 100 gtplanet.net and then tracert gtplanet.net (if you're on a Mac/Linux, that's traceroute gtplanet.net).

If you're on Windows, you can copy/paste the results of those commands here into this thread by right clicking anywhere in the command prompt window, selecting "Mark", then highlighting all the text you see.

I've also been having issue's lately. Mostly with the site not loading at all (503?) but refreshing usually clears it up the first time. Also I'm only getting "Alerts" (of threads I've watched or have posted in) if I enter back into that thread again. So to see that there is something new I have to remember what I wanted to watch and after I find it the site gives me a "Oh yeah, buddy. There was a message I was supposed to give ya"

That's normal; you will only receive an alert for the first new reply made to a thread you're watching. Subsequent replies will not trigger an alert until you view that thread again. To keep track of all watched threads, click "Watched Threads" from the top of the forum home page.
