I am having an intermittent situation where my car won't come out of first gear at the start of a race, the shift lever activates the rear view camera, this is on a TX wheel, anyone else?

I always found it funny that there is a corner called The Righthander on a track that is primarily right turns and only has one left turn.

Also, not on the track map above, the official name of the straight is the Sam Posey Straight. His name is on the bridge at the end of the straight in real life, not sure if the game included that or not.
I'm not near my Xbox at the mo but his name was one of the first things I noticed on the demo.

[EDIT] Captured this of someone's YouTube:

Here's the story behind the name change:

So, with did they mean BUY the cover car, or is that a bug?

Doesn't sound like they planned that one out very well, so basically we have to shell out whatever the amount is for the GT just to get the achievement and then sell the car back for 50% of what we paid (unless you want two of them in your garage). Since I really don't care about achievements I probably won't bother.

Just sell the one you get in the demo, so its not that big of a hit.

It'll still cost the same. lol Since I can't help myself maximizing rewards points, I'm going to spend the extra 125K.
What do you mean it costs the same? You should get atleast 50% from the sale of the Ford GT from the Demo, shouldn't you?

Isn't that the same you get for reselling the one you just bought?
I'm getting confused, lol. From what I read people have been selling the Demo Ford GT and getting 50% of the full price back from the sale, then they go buy the Ford GT again. In that instance, you'd basically be only spending 50% of the price since you have the other half from the past GT you just bought.

Oh, ok. I may have wrongfully assumed you can sell cars (as in any cars) back for 50% now, as in the older titles. Might be me who's confused. lol

I think we're both confused! That's exactly what I was talking about, you can sell all cars back for 50% of the original price, or so I've been reading.

I probably still won't bother, at least not in the near term when you need money the most. Maybe after I have 10 million dollars then I will buy the car for the achievement. For now, I already have the GT and I would rather spend my winnings on more cars that I don't have.

Yes, looks like we're both confused. lol I thought you'd said it's somehow cheaper if you sell the car from the demo and buy the GT again, than it is to buy the GT and then resell it again (leaving the one from the demo in your garage). It just goes to show, they should've just made the achievement pop when gifting everyone the demo car, this could have avoided a whole lot of confusion. lol

I agree, because unlike most people here, I only received 200k when I first started up FM6  Well over a million now with the VIP 100% extra winnings, as well as wheel spins.

My fault, looks like I should have used "that you get for playing the demo" rather then "the one you get in the demo."

I'm not doing too bad so far, I started with 1.3 million; then on my 2nd prize spin I won a million dollars, plus I received $300,000 from the Forza hub yesterday. Of course now I'm back under 2 million, well under it, I bought a few more cars and this BMW, which wasn't cheap

Not my pic, but this is the car.

It is way too easy to burn money fast in this game, there are so many cars I want lol.

A small bug I've noticed is that the speedometer in some cars read anywhere from 10mph slower to 10mph faster than your actual speed.

In career mode, I'm not getting the exclamation mark and triangle for a dirty lap, but on the leaderboards it says my lap is dirty. I've also pulled off definite clean laps one after the other in races, and on the leaderboards it still says it's dirty lap.

I also tested free play to see if it made a difference. Triangle comes up, and shows as it should. I finished the race with a new best lap, perfectly clean, it said so as I crossed the line. Went to the leaderboards, and the game counted it as dirty.

Are you using a mod?

mods make your lap dirty no matter what.
also during career racing you dont get notification if/when you dirty your lap. its counted though if clean

I just bought that car a couple days ago too. I also agree there are SOOO many cars I want. :D

I'm still having designs Savings issues. 🤬
Has anyone applied any imported vinyls and made a complete design on the Lambo Veneno and was able to save it to the car? :banghead:
And no matter what car I'm in when I turn off the console, when I turn it on, I'm always in the BMW 235. 🤬

I noticed a few issues with the tunes menu.

Looking for an A675 tune for my Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale, a large number of tunes wouldn't display data unless I clicked "download and install". After I did that, data for that tune and the ones after would finally appear, but the blank ones before it would remain blank.

In my continuing quest to download an A675 tune (the career race capped it at 675, despite A class topping out at 700), I found one that fit the bill.

However, selecting the tune somehow changed it from an A675 tune to an A700 tune. This happened for two of the A675 tunes I selected.

My brother just lost his saved game and had to start over. Apparently he was tuning a car and Forza 6 threw him back to the XBox 1 home screen then when he tried to start the game it said it was unable to load. Turned out to be a corrupted save on the cloud and had to delete it before the game would start.

I have had at least 3 times in the last few days where I got bounced out of the game and once it failed to load with a similar message but then when I tried again mine succeeded in loading where as his did not. We even tried loading his on my XB1 but same thing once the save data was synced it would not load.

After having deleted all the save game data the game works normally but that is a major problem and apparently there is no option to make a backup copy of your save games or at least if there is I have not found the way to do it yet. It appears they think that auto copy to the cloud will do but when there is a problem with that copy you are left with no solution.

That sounds quite bad. To be honest, I think the whole thing about saved data needs more transparency on the Xbox One. I can't find an option to sync with the cloud manually (just for reassurance), no automatically generated backups, there's no information on when save files were created and last modified, and I'm not sure why different accounts on the same system can see (and maybe even manage?) each other's save files.

After 4 days of frustration for not being able to save a certain design/vinyl group to any car I tried it upon, I found the culprit. Apparently, when importing the vinyl group, one of the logo's text it 2 letters made invisible and that was causing the whole 🤬 problem. Perhaps, that was the "Import Tax Payment"?:mad:👎
Now, there are other problems, like: Occasionally, not being able to use the D Pad to move back while applying vinyls.
Annoyingly, it takes me out of "applying vinyls", each time I save. 👎
Often, when syncing tunings, it takes me out to the xbox main screen.👎
Importing tunings? What a joke, it only imports a partial of the tune, as the numbers are never as the original tune.
Eg: A645 instead of A700 etc..
What's the point to have such feature if the numbers from FM5 don't correspond with FM6 tuning ? :banghead:
And the same goes for importing Designs. That's an even bigger joke. 👎
So far I found out that to import designs;
1) That same car, make, year, model, must be available in the game. (not necessarily in your garage).
2) The design you want to import, can NOT have any Manufacturer Decals/Stickers. (all decals/logos must be made from vinyls).
3) ...?
4) ...?
5) ...?

It seems that out of 12 designs I tried to import so far, only 3 made it, as for the rest, the "Saving" screen gets stuck!! :banghead:
Is there a list of requirements for designs import? :boggled:

To be continued ....

Why is anybody surprised by this? The PI system in Forza had always been a sliding scale, based on the slowest and fastest cars, stock, in the game. Since there are different cars in this game compared to FM5, tunes will no longer give the same PI, though they do give the same HP/weight stats. It takes a single moment to look at any car that was in FM5, to see that the stock PI ratings are all different.

...

I mentioned the vinyl issue in my review. So far, it's isolated to the lowercase "a" in the first typeface for me. Any livery you import with that shape will hang the game at the saving screen, and if you import a layer group with it, the same thing will happen if you back out of the decal design mode. One telltale sign is that the aliasing of curved vinyls won't work anymore, until you select the problem "a" and replace it with the same shape. Then everything works fine.
