'Megabird'? It looks like yet another Lotus 7 knockoff. Powered by a motorcycle engine, I gather.

I'd rather have the Zetec-four-powered version. That's a car I'd love to see in GT4.

Now this is a shaggy dog story but.....

My kit car (jago jeep) was rebuilt by my brother in laws dad (still with me?) and he has a Westie with a four banger ford engine in it and he also built one for my brother in laws, brother (his son).... Anyway even those little 1750 crossflow powered Westies are bloody terrifying so heaven only knows what it'd be like with a serious engine in them.

I'm heading down there this weekend and see if i can grab a piccy or two

They're all Seven knockoffs. Most of them are actually pretty good. Since Lotus won't make them anymore, and Caterham has all the right to, there's been an influx of Seven-copies to meet the recently growing demand. Westfield, Caterham, Axxis...there's others I can't remember. Think about it: need a minivan for transporting the family around but want some motoring thrills and have a small budget? These featherweights are a great thing to have. Most of them are road-legal, too.

I'd rather have a Boxer-4 powered one, as in a WRX STi 276HP turbo beast. Juuuuust light enough to keep it from getting nose heavy, and powerful enough to require racing goggles.

If you want a real beast then it has to be the Westfield SEight.

They just cram a V8 in the little buggers.

Good lord.

The closest I can come to that kind of power-to-weight ratio (and still have 4 wheels) is a car I've seen: 1965 Corvair Monza with a 525-cubic-inch Cadillac Eldorado (1970, FWD) drivetrain mounted midships, with the steering rack welded straight ahead.

It was alot like those acceleration-testing machines that were essentially a chair with a rocket motor strapped to the back. All that weight near the rear wheels gave it plenty of traction.
