If anyone wants to play online with me later on this feel free. Just add me on PSN, I'm not that annoying..really, I'm not.

I think I might be popping online in a few minutes, if anyone's playing right now feel free to add me!

Forget what I said, I won't be able to make it on tonight, you know parents say they want to watch TV, so I can't play. :(

Its ok, not great though. I tried to join a game with Giancarlo but it kept saying that i should change my firewall!! It worked ok with other games i played though.

I was hosting it so it's probably an issue my end (wireless). I did see your name appear a few times though.

Good game with you guys. I started to remember some tips I knew from the previous Burnout on the 360, but all the stunts are new...

I hope the final game allows for more than 4 people. Went to Michael's to play it, and it seems decent. It just needs more players.

Yeah sorry about all the takedowns Jeff, most of them were accidental actually. And a couple were to get you and G.T. to stop doing the freaking power parking for half an hour.

That highway race we had at the end was pretty cool though!

Yea, the drifting is a little hard. You'll drift, but its hard to hold the drift out long enough.

Drifting is absoloutely easy in Burnout... if you want a car that does wider turns, get a faster car... a car that stands out in Burnout Revenge is the Lowrider. That thing is the only car i ever driven that slides to the outside rather than the inside of the turn... I think its because its one of the heavier cars so momentum throws it farther or something.

^ I missed Dead_Poetic saying that. It's one of the easiest racing games to drift in, second to Ridge Racer. You very breifly brake hard then turn hard, then hold the throttle and boost if you have any to make really long drifts. It's key to winning many races if you get it spot on. It's probably why I was in the top 1000 world rankings online when I was playing Burnout Revenge on the 360. :p

Of course, it differs from car to car, but the one in the demo is faily easy.

Speaking about Revenge, I personally think Revenge looked better than this newer game...

I managed to get a perfect 100% park though!

And yeah, the highway races were cool. I was trying to remember certain ways to knock people off onto the barriers to make a takedown, but it seems to have become even more stubbon than it ever was. But slow speed takedowns are ridiculous... I'm going like 30mph, I hit you and it's considered a takedown. :odd:

Crap, I can't find this demo to download. Isn't it on the 'DEMOS'?
Or maybe it just isn't there at all. I thought it would have the same content as the UK store, but apparently does not. I don't even know what store is mine, is there a Portuguese store? :dunce:

Lol, to be honest most of mine were by accident as well, when the game respawns it respawns me driving into you guys.

I finally had some time to play it tonight. I think the traffic checking needs to be just a little more generous.

Is there a crash mode-like challenge in the demo?

US and Japan generally always get demos a couple weeks before they go up everywhere else.

Anyone know if the controls are adjustable? It seems to be all the rage to map gas/brake to the triggers now, but I've been driving with gas/brake on the right stick for about ten years now.

Wow, I love this demo!

Can't fault it in any way apart from the stupid radio DJ who sounds like a third rate Ridge Racer DJ.

The graphics are sweet, crashes and horrifyingly realistic, sounds are good, physics are top notch and the map reminds me of Most Wanted.

This is the first EA PS3 game I have actually considered buying.

This really does put Pro Street and its so called realistic damage to utter shame! I guess its because of licensed cars. I would sooner have lookalike cars with damage like this than brands..... GTAIV take note!

This shows that when EA put their mind to it they can do better than crappy ports!

Have yet to try online, will probably do that today but its all good so far!

Its out on the EU store thats where I got it from. 👍 I think that the EU store is as said but they just change the language of everything to fit your country I don't think there are specific stores for each separate EU country. It should be on the front page seeing as its only just been added, was put up on Friday just gone, the day after the American store got it.

That's what I thought, but apparently it doesn't work quite like that.
I've searched through it again just now (even on the full games and trailers), and it's just not there.

On the DEMOS i find (in this order):
NBA 2K8
Conan
Kane & Lynch
Timeshifters
Uncharted
Blazing Angels 2
Stranglehold
Juiced 2
PES 2008
R&C
DW: Gundam
Heavenly Sword
...
...

...but no Burnout.

Having to sit through the game intro each time i turn it on is getting really annoying.

And it's really lame how there are no drivers in the cars...

Finally got to play it. It's good but unfortunately will not be bough because like every other burnout game it will get old after 10 min. I would however rent it.

Yeah it does, I wish PS had this level of distruction in their cars. :grumpy:

I guess its because of licensed cars.

Getting to be a lame excuse for ALL car games. How would this prevent people from wanting to buy their cars... ?

This shows that when EA put their mind to it they can do better than crappy ports!

Yet they still won't figure that out...

Giancarlo I noticed too that there were no drivers. I hope this is something they forgot to include in the demo.

I don't think they put drivers in because of the crashes that take place..... it may not be allowed to show a human body suffer an accident like that, however Motorstorm gets away with it so I don't see why not...... hmmm. It might just be the demo....

Oh I just thought, maybe its because Motorstorm is off road racing as apposed to street racing with traffic (more of a real life situation). Have other Burnouts ever had drivers?

I agree its totally stupid!

I think its because people will see how their car would fair in an accident which may not be a total accurate representation of how it would damage in real life and that would make people SCARED!......

Basically they see the crash on screen and go "oh god that could be me in there and look how badly damaged it is..... im not buying that car!"

Motorstorm didn't have to pass very many licenses to get where it is.

That's basically it, although it should only be working for simulators. The basic idea is that in a simulator, if the car is too crash into a wall at 60Mph, manufacturers don't want their cars being mis-represented in a crash. To them, all the public should see is a real life safety crash. Their arguments (and usually are correct) is that a simulator would not accurately depict 1 of their cars crashing. They normally would argue, the car is stronger than such and such.

Burnouts of old had tinted windows...

Burnout legends showed drivers in the cars as they were being crushed.

im more of a SIM racer guy, but burnout is my fav arcadey game. hmm im not downloading the demo, but im waiting for the full release. should keep me buisy till US GT5p comes allong :)

I played this demo for the first time last night... talk about a guilty pleasure! :D

I found myself having a tad too much fun crashing... I may have to buy this and join a 12-step Crash Test Dummy support group. ;)

So the game's out, I bought it. It's tons better than the demo and online is just pure awesome. Any other Burnouters here?
