Picked up my copy yesterday (release date in the UK) and its simply excellent fun. I've loved the whole Burnout series, but this one is huge. Great range of cars (of the 9 I have opened so far) and it both looks and plays wonderfully.

Anyone with the full game may like to give the following a go. Pause the game and go to the 'under the hood' option and select 'enter sponsor code' and pop in the following...

....for a nice new car (Steel Wheels) which you can use straightaway online and offline once you get your Burnout licence (this is UK promotion code and while I know it works in the UK I can't be sure about any other market).

I'm also going to change the title of the thread, given that the full game is now out and it may help get a few more people in here.

Do the cars have interiors on the full version, with drivers that like get chucked out the windscreen?

Robin

Interiors = Yes

Drivers = No

Not that it makes any difference for me, if you notice it that much then you're not going fast enough.

Amazing game, I got the game a day early and just totally went nutters on the story mode. I now rock a burnout license. About 80 races from the the elite license and I rock online in my F1 racer. Definitely need to have a GTP session or something.

I ordered it today for £35, should be delivered early next week.

My girlfriend surprised me with this game tonight and I've been playing it all night. Quite fun although I hate the triggers on the PS3 remote. Is there anyway to change the controls in the game?

PS3 triggers for racing games > 360 triggers.

360 triggers are stiff, and unresponsive in racing games, and make it particularly hard to go light or hard.

PS3 triggers are EXTREMELY superior for racing games. Not shooters, however.

Totally agree, the 360 ones are too stiff accel / brake with whereas the PS3 ones and soft and spongey and the resistance increases as you get to the end of their travel a lot like real car pedals so you can regulate easily. I really enjoyed using them the burnout demo and other racing games.

When it comes to shooting games however Im glad games like COD chose to use R1 because I could see how your finger could slip with repeated and sudden full pressing of the R2 trigger.

Personally Ive never had a problem with the PS3's triggers, In the UK because its quite dry your fingers don't get sweaty and slippery.

I do not care for the PS3 triggers what-so-ever. I personally like the 360 ones because of their placement. Plus I'm used to using the X button for acceleration on the PS controller.

Well once I get some vouchers from work, this game WILL be in my presence.

Why would you want to use the 360 triggers, which have fewer levels of pressure sensitivity, over the PS3 triggers? I don't get it.

Even then, why would you want to use the X Button, which is terrible for analog input, for gas?

Sure, Burnout is an arcade racer, but using different levels of gas / brake go a LONG way in getting around corners, drifting, and take downs.

I suppose you really don't play racers that much?

I said why I want to use it, I prefer the placement and feel of it over the PS3 trigger. I do not care about pressure sensitivity or whatever, games are entertainment and I want them to be easy and fun. Hence why I like the X button for the acceleration and I like the D pad for turning the car. I grew up on NES and Genesis so that is what I am used to. It's all personal preference...how can you not understand that?

I play racing games but I do not take them seriously since they can not simulate real life, if I want to drive a car I will go out to my garage and drive my real car.

Awesome, now that we know that a bunch of us play this game we should have a GTP room sometime.

For sure, I haven't played online yet so I'm not really sure what to expect. I should be on later tomorrow barring I don't run into a bunch of issues with work.

I was a little bummed when I noticed that you couldn't do split screen multiplayer, but other than that Burnout rocks!

I picked it up Sunday and played for a few hours and I'm about to get back on. I love it!

I'd definitely be up for some online, I'm still waiting for mine to arrive in the post though.

Ok let me try this one more time in the correct thread:

Why is it this game can only do 720? The 360 version said it will support 1080p on the back of the case, I don't know if it actually does since my 360 doesn't seem to want to run at 1080p. I know both systems have to be able to run this at 1080p.

Because one system (the 360) upscales the game to 1080p, which actually looks worse than running it in native 720p, because a lot of texture detail is lost, and sharp edges become softer.

I should be starting to be online soon, my brother recieved it for his birthday (yesterday) and me and him have been playing it avidily! I think this game is great, and I love the music in it, especially Guns and Roses!

Got the full game on saturday - Didn't get a chance to play until sunday though - But that I did... Clocked in 8 hours straight while the EO was at wrrk doing year end finances :P

Tried a few minutes online - How easy is that ?.. Hope I'll get a chance to get online tonight !..

All in all - Awesome game, smooth as silk !...

Doesn't seem to work here in Denmark. All I get is, "No car matches the code" (or close enough at least)..

Tried both with and without spaces - Same result...

Try and beat a 360 flatspin 👍 :D

I'm currently driving the GT Concept and have a paradise license, 102 wins from elite license.

Had a fun little run with Hitman, AKA Hooches last night. I haven't had a chance to really play the game yet so I only had a few cars and really had no idea where to go or how to do any of the stunts, etc... It was still a lot of fun though. Not that it was any surprise, but I lost every race with my GTO against their Walmart F-1 cars..., actually it didn't seem to matter, I lost every race period! :)

Currently Rockin a Burnout License, 'bout 60 wins from elite. Driving the Krieger Uberschall 8 (The Closed cockpit LMP1 lookalike) and the Wal*Mart WTR.I also like to hop online in my Hunter Citizen Police car and sneak up on people.

Enter walmart in the enter product sponsor code area. You can only drive it when you get either your burnout or elite license.
