Matter of fact, I'm incredibly bad at performing takedowns if the other vehicle is driving side-by-side. I can't seem to make him lose control and hit the wall. On the other hand, if someone tries to take me down, all they do is give me a little tap and I can't control my car anymore. Few milliseconds later I kiss the wall and wrecks. Mind-boggling...

Exactly the same here mate.
Most of the takendown actions I did was by accident or some kind of indirect contact with that person. And I'm usually the one to be taken down when having crash fest. (Takedowns : Times Taken Down = 1:2)

Yeah, I swear there's some voodoo magic involved with those who seem to get takedowns so easily . I once saw a player with over 1 million takedowns . I bet he spends every second of his time in Paradise crashing into other people.

Strangely, I love those Timed Challenges that involves meeting up somewhere and getting 40-50 takedowns as a group. There's one at the Beach, Airfield and Stadium I think. Soooo much fun . Especially if most players had a camera, the mugshots are popping up like mad!

By the way, if anyone's getting bored with things to do in BP (since CG aren't releasing anymore DLCs), you can try this glitch that lets you change your car colour into solid colours (just one colour, without liveries/decals). Be warned though, once you do this it can't be changed back to the original colour scheme (you can change it to another solid colour though), so I suggest you backup your save before doing this.

It would suit them, if only they could muster up the patience to stay still for 5 seconds to let the Timer start the second part .

As it is, I rarely change my cars' stock colours . Except if it's a particularly distasteful one (like the pink Manhattan ). My favourite paint scheme though, has got to be the Carson 500 GT Gulf GT40 look alike. When I first saw it it made my day .

He could be one of those guys who just does takedowns all the time. I randomly found myself in a game full of guys just doing that and quickly exited. I'm not quite sure what joy they got out of having their gameplay experience be that every 30 seconds you watched your car crash in slow motion, but I found it annoying.

Same, it's worse when you have a camera attached and it takes a photo every time!
It only spoils the experience for everyone else, and it must get pretty boring!

Has anyone actually been in a buggy game?
I remember once I was helping this guy do a timed challenge, and for some reason people who had joined the game since it started actually contributed towards the goal!

I was said to be "crash happy" by the game after completing some races.
But somehow there're always some players who like taking others down for no reason. For fun? I just can't get it.

...but now that I've read this, maybe he's hacking into his gamesave or something. Still, it's quite an amusing achievement.

Besides this bug, I've met someone with their car becoming invisible, with both their car and their online ID. Actually, at that time I was being taken down by a player constantly, and the game camera just can't display his car and online ID, what I can see after I was being taken down was only some smoke running away from the crash spot. (Normally when someone takes us down, there's always a shot that traces that player.)

Have any of you seen something like this before?

Yeah I've also seen the invisible car bug. But his ID is still visible, so does his car on the map (the arrow). I realised he was invisible when I get taken down and the camera pans to an empty space. I was like "WTH who took me down?!?!" . Fortunately he's driving the 88 Special, so whenever he boosts I can see his posistion (flame trails ). Needless to say, I got my revenge back using the Nighthawk .

I also looked through my trophies of which I am at 73%. I was saddened to see that some very simple trophies like smashing through my first billboard and my first super jump are not unlocked. Anyone else have this issue?

If so, copy your save file to a USB drive or even an other PSN account on your machine (if they aren't account locked) and then start a new game. Once you get those trophies reload your current save file and continue on.

Well, you won't be changing accounts to get the trophies, just starting a whole new game, so even if the files locked trophies to specific PSN accounts you would be putting your original save file back on the account it belongs to.

Over the weekend I went for adding the extra trophies which worked like a charm but somehow in the process I have lost my 90% game save.👎

I recall when I had to do the same thing, I thought I had lost mine as well. There was a funny error listed when I reloaded the original game save.

Have you reloaded it already and it didn't come through, or was there an error listed when you tried to? I did the reload and restarted the game and my original was still there.

I first copied my game save over to my GTP tag. I then deleted my original game save under "UnoMOTO". I then checked to see that the trophy information was there, so I felt that it was going right. When I booted up the game I still had the old stats and it didn't seem to have worked. Still under "UnoMOTO" I deleted the game file which caused me to redownload all the updates. I then booted up the game and got those other trophies. I copied the GTP save back over and started it up and it was still as a brand new game.

I need to go back under my GTP tag and double check loading the game to see if I still have something there.

I didn't get any errors other then being notified about deleted a game save before I could copy it back to my original user name.

That's strange. Did you not overwrite your old save accidentally? When I did this I copied my old save to a memory stick, and deleted it on the PS3. I loaded up the game as normal, so it creates a new save (still under the same username). I did everything needed for the trophies, then quit the game and deleted my new save. Then I recopied my old save from my memory stick. I should also say that I did all of this offline, to prevent my online stats (challenges especially) from resetting. When I loaded my old save everything was there, exactly just as before.

Hope you solve your problem 👍. I'd cry if I lost my gamesave (happened to me once with GT1).

While freeburning online, entering Showtime, then pausing your game will keep your vehicle in a wrecked state, keeping other players from being able to take you down.

When I saw that over the weekend I was so deflated that I just shut it off. As I dug into things last night I figured that I could still play online with the cars I had purchased. As I loaded all the DLC, something magical happened…It was ALL there! All 450 freeburn challenges that I’ve done and my elite license are still safe and sound.

It appears that the website portion needed to have a game save event happen before it showed that my original copy was properly reloaded back on my user name.

Another side effect of all this is that I put GT5P back in to relieve some stress. Holy crap did I get rusty over the last few months. I’ll be putting some time back in that seat to get ready for GT5.
