It has got custom sountracks!

You find it by pressing right to go into Easy Drive, then scroll right down to the bottom to soundtracks, then right and select custom soundtracks.

It took my ages to find it :ouch:

Hope that helps,

Super_Spig

many thanks!

This is my only game that features custom soundtrack! It's so much more enjoyable when you can choose your own music within the game while playing. 👍

If you do enjoy the game music, but not some of the songs, you can go through and edit which ones it plays and when also. That is in one of the menus when you hit start. Keep hitting R1 or L1 until you find. I think it is the same page as the Save/Load options.

I like the in-game music so I like this. Occasionally I like to just switch on the classical music as it adds a nice touch on as I barrel roll into the quarry.

Thanks for the info mate. 👍
I like the customizable playlist of in-game music as well. I'd sometimes choose those classical music when I'm cruising around the streets or when doing stunt runs, to calm myself down.

Today I found out a terrible thing about the Platinum Trophy.. :nervous:
I've won all trophies (excluding those add-on ones) except the one needs you to send a 'Mugshot' or 'Smugshot' to your friend during an online play, which requires a USB camera to deal with. Unfortunately, I don't have any USB cameras at home. How come the game producer would expect everyone to own a USB camera? I don't want to buy a camera just for winning that Platinum trophy of the game. (I think this is the only game that I'll be able to win the Platinum trophy. :indiff:)

I've put much effort in game to earn the Elite License and completed everything (offline stuff), but was stuck here because of this 'Mug-/Smugshot' thing. It's kind of frustrating indeed. :ouch:

👍👍 one of my roommates is a music teacher and she actually came downstairs when she heard one of the songs playing only to be supremely disappointed when she saw what it was coming from :)

The good news is that a trophy doesn't really mean anything or add any tangible value to the gameplay.

More importantly, my family and friends use the USB camera on the PS3 for a lot of things as well as for Burnout Paradise... and it does add a tangible value to the gameplay of this and many other games... some of which can't even be played without one, like Trials of Topaq and Operation Creature Feature... both of which are immensely entertaining and challenging games. 👍

The official one, the PS Eye, even comes with an array of four microphones, and with free software for the PS3 which allows you to use it for many other things, like video conferencing, video and audio recordings, etc. You can even use it as a in-game mic. So for just around $20 used or $30 new, the PS Eye is probably the best bargain and most used accessory we own for our PS3... in fact based on my visits to Hong Kong, you could probably get it for a good deal less. 👍

That said, if you are really opposed to owning one, and having that Platinum is truly that important to you, I'm sure if you made the effort you could find at least one person in your area that would lend you their USB camera for the few minutes it would take to get that last trophy. 👍

Heck, if you have a somewhat newer digital camera with a USB port it may even work. I haven't tried mine, but I know that it is supposed to be functional with Yahoo and MSN on my PC.

This trophy and the "everyone takes a photo for a party" has also been bugging me as well. I'm thinking of using my handphone camera since my hp has usb connection, will it work though?

You can test it by just hooking it up and going into your license info and changing the picture.

Nuts, I missed out on the group meet-up last night. The missus had "other" ideas that generated more interest than the Meet-up. I'll be available today if anyone pops in. Drop me a PM (here at GTP) and I'm usually on in a few minutes.

At 9:20 this morning, I picked up the 10 Timed Challenges Tropy, and then deleted my game. Restarted and at 9:37 this morning, I picked up the X3 Boost Chain in the GT Nighthawk. Which means I only have purcahse the Burnout Party Pack and sort through that to get all my trophies for this game. !!

And the remaining 5 challenges (1 - 5p; 3 - 7p; 1-8p) to complete the game.

No worries mate. ;)
Let's see if we can meet up again today if you're available at night time (Saturday night). 👍
I still got plenty of challenges haven't done yet - from 5p - 8p.
Anyone here interested in a group meet-up? :D

I'll be online tonight. I'd like to take the Timed 5player #10 off my list tonight.

I should be on at about 11:30 (in about an hour) and ready to play for a while. The Missus is getting her COD4 fix in now.

It seems that the next DLC is the Cops and Robbers pack.
When I went to compare trophies which another Burnout player, new trophies for this DLC appeared in the list, which seems to be a tell-tail sign for the next DLC.
I'll try and post them on here next time I'm on my PS3 :D

Thanks,

Super_Spig

Hey Der Alta, I'm glad to see you online last night. ;)
I thought my friends were playing in another room at that time, so they couldn't join us for a 5-player (or more) room and help you to finish off your remaining challenges. Hope that we have enough players meeting up next Friday night or Saturday. 👍

I'm looking forward to the Big Surf Island DLC more. :sly:
But still, this Cops and Robbers pack should be fun. ;)

I have to admit, the Island DLC does look amazing so far, and warrants an essential purchase.
It's nice to see the Burnout Team still updating and improving the game, and having excellent trophy support. I think the game has the most on PS3, with still more to come... :D

Thanks,

Super_Spig

Quick question:

Where do you input the car codes? Something I saw said in the Under the Hood menu, but I can't find it. Did they remove it for the Greatest Hits version or something?

Yeah, you're right indeed. 👍 From what Criterion Games' official website said, their game contains the most number of trophies in any PS3 games so far.

The Island DLC is a 'must' purchase for me, hope it won't cost too much. :dopey: And Criterion Games as a game company really did a great job in updating their game, providing us both free and payable DLC(s). 👍 The 2 free game content updates (namely Cagney Pack and Bikes Pack) extend the overall gameplay so much further! :D

Oh, I have the same question as you do. I tried entering those car codes a year ago when I first got the game, but had no luck in getting those sponsored cars. My copy is Asian version, does it matter? :dunce:

This question has probarly been asked before but in your own online game how do you decide which freeburn chalenges are attempted?
Thanks

In your game, where you are the leader?

If it's that, you go right on easy drive, then select create challenge or similar, then you choose the challenge.

If you are playing with someone else, where they are the host, then they decide what challenges are done.

Hope that helps :D

If I recall correctly, the "bonus" vehicles (Circuit City, Walmart, Best Buy, Gamestop & others) have had their access removed. I believe it was Update 1.6 that removed the ability to unlock them. I've tried to find a credible link stating this, but haven't yet.

From what I can tell though, they are just new versions of cars you get through normal game progression (or unlock code if you are so impatient it is worth $5), correct?

I'm not actually missing out on anything?

And just to let you guys know, I did take a little detour this past week because I bought Rock Band 2 and got thoroughly sucked into that, but the blister on my finger tells me I need a break. So I should be finishing up all my offline stuff and then I'll hop online to start on that.

I'm probably 90% through the car stuff, and then I just have to do bikes stuff, but that may wait until after I go online some.

Also, is it just me or are Showtime Road Rules stupidly easy to beat offline? Timed Road Rules would be too, but I almost never fail to fly around a blind corner and find traffic blocking my path. Maybe I should do them more at night.

Oh, no wonder I can't find any way to enter the code from the menu after the recent update of the game. haha. :dopey:

Glad to hear that mate. 👍 Hope to see you in the next meetup (hopefully one of the nights in the coming Easter holiday). :)

My wife is Catholic, so whether I am stepping away from Rock Band for a bit or not, there is a high likelihood that I will not have a lot of free time this weekend.

I jumped online for the first time this past weekend. Turns out the online challenges are quite fun! Add me people....Add me...

You should have a Request in your inbox from me.

With this recent group of new to online additions, should we organize another meet-up to help each other through the pile of challenges? I'm 4 shy of 490 and really need some help from like-minded players to finish them off.

Since my understanding is that like-minded players are difficult to come by I would be willing to join up if I am free.
