sure why not. sounds like one hell of a plan. i give the odds of him wanting to leave again at pretty damn good but whatever. its better then some of the alternitives i think. since hes used to the team and car. with rubens next year it should work out good.

that said while he can drive rather good he is still a "boob."

if he paid money himself he clearly doesnt want out that bad. at least not for a year or two. 2008 he probably will want to move again. i think bars future is looking up though so i feel good.
 
He is being re-imbersed (spelling) by honda, so its not actually his money. As much as I like the guy and think he's fast it really gets under my skin that can't stick to a contract. What a w***er.
 
well part of it was bad managment and immaturity. i think the future will look brighter for him though. i'll just forgive and forget. untill next time anyway...
 
Given Button's childish little boy behavior the past 2 seasons regarding contracts I think the reality of him honoring this one with BAR are slim to none. Just wait until next season at this time when little boy Button will want to go to Ferrari or RBR or BMW.

Also this is going to make Button even MORE full of himself. He isn't a bad driver but he is no world champion or anywhere near the same league as Kimi/Alonso. Now he is going to be coming out with even more inane comments about F1.

If I was Rubens I'd be pissed as well. He leaves Ferrari, where he was always #2 and under MS's shadow only to go to BAR where, for all intensive purposes, he will be #2 to some little boy. I assume BAR will run both drivers with no #1, like McLaren this year, but given JB's time with the team one can only assume he will be the leader.

I'd rather be MS's little B&@#h anyday over JBs.
 
Well I dunno, If i was Rubens i would much rather be with a teammate i can beat than a 7 times world champ...

And yeah Button will probbe liek this end of next season.

At least if I was MS's teammate I could respect him and the team. I can do neither for Button and BAR.

I dont see how BAR are in the wrong here, it is Button who should be getting the blame, BAR were just the team he wanted to stick with.

BAR as a team has rubbed me the wrong way since the end of last season. Getting full of themselves after 04 dumb luck season, canning David Richards and in general completely dropping the ball. Oh ya and the cheating this from this year. BAR seems like a team that thinks they are a big player but they tiny shred of success was from complete and utter dumb luck.

As far as I am concerned BAR deserves JB.

Besides racing Aston Martins is much more interesting than racing Hondas. Good on ya Mr. Richards!

Fair enough lol, well BAR have had a rough time of late really, lets hope they kinda get their act up a bit for next season.

Oh yeah that speed attempt they are doing is on the 15th of October, should be intresting since its within FIA rules, maybe they will be using that engine for the last couple of races..

If I was JB or Sato I'd worry then. "Special" Honda engines mean bigger booms and more smoke. Sorta like "special" Mercedes engines do.

But lately Honda have been bringing in upgrades for the engine and they have been particually reliable.

True, but there is a difference between natural engineering upgrades and revisions and "special" though.
