Well the whole of the :uk: will know when your going to work  The car is worth buying :2cents: for the sound alone :note:

And if your :bmw::m: has TCS then your gonna have to go easy on the gas of your new :tvr: for a few weeks whilst getting used to it..:D (If I'm not mistaken it doesn't have TCS?)

Jeremy Clarkson spoke about his wife getting a new car :car: and test driving or buying the Tuscan he said the back end could really go on a tight round about on full throttle :burnout:

BMW Power you'll have to get Jordan to Change your member name?

Oh yea I meant to ask out of interest what do you work as? In other words where's the money coming from for your new car? :D

Ignore my username (it was a total no brainer, but I am a big TVR fan)

M5 for TVR Tuscan?

Are you sure, after thinking about that choice Id plump for the M5, im sure the maintenance costs on an M5 are probably lower and its probably allot more reliable. Although maybe you are looking for an even more raw sports car (an M5 is a Performance Saloon?) than the M5.

Mind you I think if I was offered a TVR id have to plump for a cerebra. 4.5 or 4.2 V8 I still prefer the looks of the cerebra. Or the TVR Tuscan Challenge Racecar, but any TVR looks out of my reach at the moment. *Goes back to 1.1 fiesta and Lexus IS200*

1998 TVR CERBERA 4.5 Litre engine, Classy Chassiss Limited 98(R) 2 door, Coupe, British Racing Green, ABS Brakes, Air Conditioning, Alloy Wheels, Central Locking, Leather Upholstery, Alarm, Power Steering, Immobiliser, Electric Windows 25000
For £24,995
25000 miles on the clock
British racing green ABS as well!
 that is sweet

Holdon, the whole page is filled full of the beautys

Hey ive just noticed the 2000 model cerebras have had a facelift, the front lights look a bit tuscan esque. It makes it look a bit meaner, the old cerebra headlights were a bit, old looking to say the least.

Yes, they changed it circa late '99, as well as upping the chassis and reworking the engine. The car now has a higher top speed than before.

What one?
I know they added the wussy speed 6 and the mighty 4.2 4.5 V8 models, or were they all just generally faster?

They were all revamped, and they all have a higher top speed (Reliability has also improved).

BTW - TC is now an option I think.

Isnt the V8 unit in the cerebra from rover?
well I heard that was from the range rover models??

heh TC that would make my cerebra booring whats the point of having 450bhp with TC, well unless you cant drive.

1998 Porsche 911 Carerra £40,950

Yeah great rival, almost double the price, but I suppose it has better depriciation cuz its a german car.

It was until around 1995, when TVR started to make their own engines, but I believe the Chimera model still uses a Rover V8

Nah, it's because they cost £68,000 new.

Yes, Pete Wheeler does not believe things like ABS and TCS belong on a true sports car (of which he claims only TVRs truly fit the bill these days). None of those "cop-outs" are standard, but I do think they're all available as options on all models. Personally, I don't quite agree with Wheeler. While I can understand expecting your buyers to be experienced drivers, but I certainly don't want to be the one spinning out on every exit ramp.

I belive the latest one's have an uprated Slip Diff, so it should be a bit harder to flick the back end out unless it's wet (But who would want to drive like a boy racer in the wet)?

cheers to all you guys for the help and info and to answer alexy2k's question: Oh yea I meant to ask out of interest what do you work as?
i'm an electrical engineer with my own business. its not really a big company but it pays the bills and buys me new cars :)
i've wanted a Tuscan S for quite a while now but if anyone has any other suggestions for high performance sports cars from around 30 to 50k then dont hesitate to suggest. it dosent need to be practicle and my wife wont be driving it (thank god)
cheers

Finally, someone that knows a real car! TVRs!!!

Yeah, these are great cars with an unmatchable power to weight ratio. I guarantee you will have a ball with this awesome car (though I would rather have the Griffith). Though, the Tuscan S is sure to turn heads! If you would like a video of the Tuscan, you can AIM me at GT3bedbuddy. The Tuscan has a great interior, engine, and attention to detail. Oh, and did I mention it has some very pleasing specs! Aim me if you want that Media Player video.

BTW - If you want some Tuscan S wallpaper, just join the :tvr: Group and I'll giva ya some.

I've also got some Speed 12 and Cerbera wallpaper.

Oh great sounds like you got a good little business going there :D

Keep the wife well off and that'll keep the insurance :2cents: premiums down?

Other suggestions:

- :audi: RS4 £45850.00 2.7 quattro Estate 5d 2671cc
- Lexus LS 400 4.0 Saloon 4d 3969cc auto 4.0 Saloon 4d 3969cc auto £49294.00

Or you could buy a :lotus: elise and save on price, running costs?
2nd hand :Porsche:?

on second thoughts 💡 go with the :tvr:

i don't know if they sell the chevrolet corvette z06 in England but with the exchange rate it would work out less than a tvr. 405bhp and 400 and something lb-ft of torque. 0-60 in 4 seconds flat. That is what i consider the best value in the U.S. at least when you compare it to the dodge viper and if you stretch it you can compare it to a ferrari. same performance numbers but ferrari will definitely have better handling.

cheers again guys. ive decided to get the TVR but i'm not sure on which colour i should have, i do like black but a lot of people have told me other colours suit it better. what do you guys think?

I would go through GT3 and see what YOU think. Maybe the cameleon blue. Maybe too common though...
