It happened to me for the second time today, and this is really frustrating. We have the paint chip system, and we're forced to actually buy a car just for the paint chip we want. This would sort of be okay if every car actually gave you the chip. Of course, you won't discover this until after you've paid for the car. What are you supposed to do, then?
I had bought a Jaguar XKR and wanted to replicate the new XKR-S that was revealed at the Geneva Auto Show.
I knew right away that Grabber Blue from the Ford Mustang Mach 1 would be just about right for the job.
I bought one in Grabber Blue, and didn't get the paint chip. I already have a tuned Mach 1 as well, so this duplicate car is worthless to me.
I spent a solid 15 minutes looking through the premium dealership, and there are no other similar colors. I have effectively wasted my money on not one, but two cars today, counting the Jaguar. That's nearly 150k I've spent for nothing.
I'm still annoyed at spending 200k on a flat black FT-86 a couple weeks ago and not getting the chip for that, either. Are there any more cars in the game that do this?
This situation is just another reason why I used three votes for a paint shop/editor in the feedback forum.
